"Whatever It Takes" was not a playoff slogan for the wings. The slogan that year was "Let'em see Red" and they dropped the slogan in the cup finals because Carolina also wears red.

Michigan is not a great school for a coach to go to. Here is why: #1 Michigan is a football school. #2 Tons of pressure to succeed even tho the history of Michigan basketball hasn't been that great. Great team every once in a while. #3 Michigan still has a black eye from recruiting violations during the fab five era. #4 Michigan State is recruiting the same players from the same state. Tubby Smith doesn't have that much competition in Minnesota unlike Michigan. On the flip side, Minnesota is a hockey school so there is less pressure to deliver. Michigan blew a great candidate in a head coach today.

surprisingly, this interview is claude's first interview in Detroit. You would have thought they would have got both him and Mac on the radio together after Claude retired. HA HA!! He said he is doing this interview to take away some of the uncomfortableness away from him and so he can participate in charity events.

excellent prespective. Personally I think the NHL lives for incidents like this. It gets people talking about hockey that normally wouldn't. Leafs-Devils probably got higher ratings than usual last night based on what happened to Kaberle a few weeks ago. Yes it does give the NHL a black eye but the NHL already has a black eye because of the lockout. They are also viewed in the US as a silly game that Canadians play. My point is hockey is not considered a serious sport in the United States.

ESPN bashing occurs a lot around here but yet again, whenever something hockey related is on it...there is a post and all those bashers say "yeah i saw that". If you dont like ESPN, then change the channel. Oh I saw the cup and yeah that was pretty cool.
