Tigers have a better record this year then the 2006 world series champion St. Louis Cardinals. Record means nothing come playoff time. 2006 also had the tigers make their miracle run. 2007 had the rockies play in "playoff mode" the whole last month and carried it over to the playoffs and made it to the world series. Bottom line, its been done before and nothing says these Tigers can't make a run in the playoffs. First we gotta get to the playoffs first.

i stand by my statement saying that michigan is a fraud this year. That being said MSU is much worse. They are underachieving this year and are OVER RATED!!! Something has to be done this weekend for MSU to have any season left. Another loss and they soon will be fighting to just get to a bowl game.

no one blames any big ten team for losing in Madison. That has always been a hard place to win a game. That being said I still like MSU's chances this saturday. Yeah they are 1-3 but they could easily be 2-2 or 3-1. The Wisky game is the only game that wasn't even that close. Michigan is a fraud just like Penn State. Yes they are 4-0 but who exactly have they beaten. ND was an impressive win but should it really take a 4th quarter comeback to beat Indiana and still be in the Big Ten title hunt. MSU will win because its at home and this is the season for them. GO GREEN!! GO WHITE!!

to me when you say "dominate", you imply that no one else is even close. Impossible to pick 2 people from the same sport then and my list would go like this, not in any order. NBA--Kobe Bryant NHL--Ovechkin MLB--Pujols NFL--Peterson Golf--Tiger Track--Bolt Swimming--Phelps NASCAR--Jimmie Johnson Tennis--Federer Soccer--Ronaldo The list has to start there and IMO, the indiviual sports have the more dominate athletes, like golf, swimming or tennis.

I am more worried about playing 6 games against the White Sox. I don't think Chicago will roll over like Cleveland just did. I except a tough home and home. Hopefully we can wrap up the divison before the final 3 games against Chicago.

Hard to go against the Yankees. That being said if the Tigers get in, I think they can make some noise. Verlander, Jackson and Porcello are amazing pitchers.

Plus we throw JV out their tonight for us. Verlander is our ace and needs to show it tonight.

#1 There is no preseason in college football. Ask BYU if they can still get to the title game now that they lost to Florida State. #2 Big schools don't want to make the mistake and schedule the Boise State, the Utahs, the BYU or even Appy State schools because if they win, no big deal. Buf if they lose, its the talk of the season. Sometimes the little schools do win tho. it just happens less and less. #3 If the little schools want the big schools to come and play them at their stadium or neutral field and have the "homefield" advantage, they need cash. Cash is king and thats why Ohio State agreed to be the visitor and play Toledo in Cleveland this year. That is the same reason why MSU is going to travel to Mt. Pleasent to play at Central in a few years. If EMU wants to play Michigan and be called the "home team" then they need to play at Ford Field. Problem is that it would be a downsize in attendence for Michigan to play their. Thats why you will see Michigan play their games at the big house and not at Ford Field...regardless of home team or not. That is unless Michigan makes the Motor City Bowl game.

difference is that michigan isnt gonna travel down I-75 to play at bowling green. Michigan has played at the Carrier Dome tho.

True. I think they should schedule more Big East teams. Although I would imagine it being a circus if Michigan had to travel to West Virginia to play a game there. Still a game against Sryacuse wouldnt be that bad.

not at all. MSU is still tied for first in the big ten and controls their own fate to Pasadena, the goal for all big ten teams. I just miss the days when Michigan would schedule Colorado, Oregon, Virginia...teams like that. Not Michigan vs Umass or Bowling Green like next year.

just dont be crying after you lose to OSU at the last game of the year and want a rematch against the Buckeyes in the title game like a few years ago. Michigan was overrated that year no matter what anyone else says IMO.

How Dantonio still look the media and say he still doesn't know who the starting QB should be is an embarassment. Kirk Cousins has outplayed Nichol by far and Cousins is probably in the top 10 quarterbacks in completion %. yeah the kid had a bad pass at the end of the ND game...but thats all he has done wrong. Everything else has been right on the money. Time to give him his due and let him have the job.

while it is disappointing to see another spartans close game loss, i am still confident in this team and their goal to go to the Rose Bowl. They still control their own destiny and IMO, ND will be one of the best teams they play this year. The play of the game in the ND game really is the blocked extra point which held MSU to 30 instead of 31 points. Had MSU only needed a field goal to win, cousins wouldnt even be passing towards the end zone. They would have ran student body right or left til they got in field goal range for swenson. Its the little things that make the difference and MSU definately knows it after the last two weeks. As far as Michigan goes, while they are 3-0 (should be 4-0 after this weekend)...curious to see how they do on the road at MSU, at Iowa. Michigan lucks out and only has to travel to 4 schools this year. It should almost be illegal for a school to do that when they play 12 total games.

See I expect MSU to come out strong on saturday. They got caught looking ahead and mailed it in against the chips. Dantonio suffered his worst loss as a spartan coach so far and he will turn it around this week. this will not be the same ol spartans team this saturday. Look out irish. We are coming for you!! Dude quit calling my school FYS. It doesn't even make any sense to me and you are the only one calling us that. . Us spartans fans don't go around calling michigan scUM or anything else against the school. Yeah I have piled on Dick Rod but he is just the coach. If you read what I wrote first after the Western game and against the ND game..it was nothing but class towards michigan. Show a little more class is all I am asking for. MSU was not coached well late in that game against the Chips. They looked scared and lost all confidence. They lost that game even before the game was over.

Dunno bout Blak but I will post. I had to work all day but caught the end of the MSU game during lunchtime. I am disgusted with how MSU kept letting CMU in the game. The chips played good and the spartans didnt. However the spartans still had that game won and just couldnt lock it down. Grab the onside kick, STAY onside. Do whatever you have to do to win and they just didnt do it. As far as Michigan. WOW!! Tate is not a freshman. Amazed at how cool and collected he was especially in the final drive. Bitter pill to swallow if your the irish. Still looking forward to beating the Irish at South Bend, aka Sparty Stadium next saturday. Bring it on ND!!!

hats off to Michigan today. Despite all the distractions, the team showed up and just played. Winning cures everything.
