    2006 ALCS: Tigers vs. A's

I agree BRTD. Tram is the 1984 World Series MVP.

I agree, as long as the band gets it right...not like what the four tops did to pistons fans. Link

    2006 ALCS: Tigers vs. A's

anyone have any guesses on who should throw out first pitch at comerica and who should sing national anthem? There will be at least 2 games at comerica. For first pitch, I would have Mickey Lolich throw to Bill Freehan (especially if the Tigers play the Cards). The two were outstanding in the 1968 series. I heard rumors of a 1984 reunion and I say why not. Have Tram, Whitaker, Gibby, Morris, Lemon, Bergman, Evans, Parrish, Heardon and Co. Have Sparky Anderson be the last introduced and have him throw out the first pitch. For National Anthem...I am not sure. I would go with Bob Seger for one game and Kid Rock for the other, but there are a lot of other choices that you could make.

Detroit Lions, NFL 2006 Season Thread

You make it sound like they will just sneak in the playoffs. J'ville was 12-4 last year, having the 4th best record in the NFL. I also don't see how the AFC south is a poor divison when they have one of the best teams in the NFL in the Colts in the divison. Yes, the Titans and Texans are poor NFL teams, but there are bad teams in every divison. I honestly can see a team like the Jets sneaking in the playoffs. They are 3-3 and gotta love this schedule. Detroit @ Cleveland Bye @ NE Chicago Houston @ Green Bay Buffalo @ Minnesota @ Miami Oakland Anyone else feel that if this team doesn't go 10-6, it will be a disappointment.

I agree. Use Rogers for game 3 and set it up for him to pitch game 7.

    2006 ALCS: Tigers vs. A's

world series is scheduled to begin on Oct. 21...and that was determined before the season even begun. the date is locked tight. Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't Rogers the only pitcher with batting experience because he played in the NL for a while. Verlander probably has the least amount of experience so that is why having Verlander in game 2 slot works.

If there's one team I cannot stand.....

how in the world did larry coker lose control of this team. I had all the respect for the team and there players when they had dorsey, maghee, winslow and co. In just a few years, that team has gone out of control. Larry Coker will be lucky to finish this season. No way do you bring that guy back.

Seahawks have given more points than scored. Denver has a strong case. I personally think Jacksonville will be a tough team down the stretch. Hard to argue with Chicago not being the best team this year. They have an defense AND offense this year

Saints are easily the best story in the NFL this year. The Saints are easily in the top 5 with the Bears, Colts, Chargers and Pats.

    2006 ALCS: Tigers vs. A's

I actually called out and said to everyone here watching the game that Tigers were going to win on a walk off HR. I thought for sure tho that it would be Monroe hitting it tho. I agree with you completely. I leaped off my chair and to this day, I still dont know what the announcers on tv said. Ordonez's HR is etched in my sports history memory banks for life.

RWN HQ being invaded in December!

back in the late 90s, a few of the chatters in the red wings chat room got together on NYE. Few of us went to the game at the Joe, the car pooled to Royal Oak and partied the night away. Was a blast and everyone had a good time. Ah memories FYI everyone. I work most on weekends now so don't plan around my schedule. I will make if I can.

Ever since game 2 of the ALDS, I have put up a wallpaper picture of the Tigers pitcher pitching that day on my desktop. Don't know why it is working but everyone can begin thanking me now. Oh btw, first thing I did this morning was put up a picture of Kenny Rogers. On the ball today folks.

    Casey Out

Casey's injury while hurts the tigers, doesnt kill their chances drastically. If you recall, Shelton played the majority of games as 1st baseman for tigers.
