So far, I think it is working because the players seem to be responding to the coach. How can they not?? They haven't gone anywhere under the last few systems. I will follow Team USA until they are eliminated. Not a huge soccer fan but I did find myself watching the last world cup in japan 4 years ago. I would love USA to be in the top 8.

after today's comeback win, this clinches it for me. THE 2006 DETROIT TIGERS WILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!!! I know it is still early, but this team is on a mission. Even if the Tigers go .500 from here on out, they still win 90 games. I challenge anyone to convince me that this team cannot play .500 ball.

what a game tonight!!! Tigers start off to an early lead, zumaya gives up the granny to Griffey, granderson ties in with a homer in the 9th, and monroe knocks in a run in the 10th. Anyone who had their doubts if this team is for real, just needs to look at this game. They could have given up tons of times, yet battled thru and got a huge win. GO TIGERS!!

I am approaching each series and saying to myself "let's see if they can get past this team". The way they are playing leads you to believe that this team has turned it around completely and will contend for the ...dare i say it...playoffs. But like you blak, I am still waiting for the other shoe to drop. I think from May 26-June 8 will be the biggest indication of if this team is for real. 3 home games against the Indians, 4 home games against the Yankees, 3 home games against the Red Sox, and 3 road games against the White Sox. Tigers won't have another brutal stretch like that so those 13 games could shape this season. The good news is all of those 13 games will be on FSN. :banana: :carrot:

I am fine with a "boring" draft by the Lions. Detroit drafted for need, not to make a splash like they have in the past. You have to give this coaching staff a chance to look at the talent they have here before they start cutting heads. If Charles Rogers doesn't bring it this year, he should be cut and released from this team. This coming from a Spartan fan that thought he was the best thing since sliced bread when he was drafted by the Lions.

just exactly what quarterback do you want the lions to cut if they would have drafted Leinart?? Kitna, McCowan, King, Orlosvky. Lions are probably cutting 1 of those quaterbacks depending on training camp performance. My gut tells me that the lions depth chart at QB is Kitna, McCowan, and then Orlovsky. Shaun King is most likely cut.

I find it completely ironic that the Texans are saying they are having a hard time selling season tickets.......so they pass on one of the most exciting college football players ever and grab a defensive lineman?!?!? Mario Williams is great, but another good defensive lineman will come along. How often does a Reggie Bush type player come along?? Saints are now planning to take Bush with the 2nd pick. That has to be a pick for someone else. The Saints, with all their defensive problems, can't want to pick Bush to stack their running game with Deuce.
