the problem i have with the NBA playoffs system is the way they position the teams. The two best teams in the western conference are NOT going to play in the western conference finals. Spurs and Mavs are locked and look to play each other next series, regardless of what else happens. Also, I love how denver got screwed by having the 3rd seed in the west yet open up on the road in LA. Nice. But the East is ok.

April 29th is the end of the world because all 4 of Detroit's pro teams have huge event happening to them. Detroit Lions----------at 12pm, they will be participating in the NFL draft. Huge day for the Lions. Detroit Tigers---------at 1pm, they will have a home game against the Minnesota Twins. Big early season game. Detroit Red Wings----at 3pm, they will play game 5 against the Edmonton Oilers at the Joe. Big playoff game. Detroit Pistons--------at 9pm, they will play game 3 against the Milwaukee Bucks in Milwaukee. Another big playoff game. I don't remember another day when there was all FOUR teams doing something before. Thus, this is officially, the end of the world.

i turned on that heat game expecting a blowout, i was shocked to see the bulls making that game close. If Miami isn't careful, bulls are a hard working team that could sneek out some wins against this Heat. Anyone else think these playoffs are messed up?? Pistons go sometimes 3 days before they play again...wayyyyy too long. Also, how is it that dallas as the 4 plays the 5 memphis in dallas...but 3 denver GOES TO the 6 clippers and gives the clip the home court advantage. Somehow, that doesnt seem right.

See, i will agree with you based on more power from Guillen. But this lineup is not lined up with sure hitters. The Tigers are a team where one person can be hot and the rest of the team warm and still be good. Lot of different guys 1-9 that can step in and lead the team. Hell with 2 outs and a man on at third...i might pick inge to bring him home. thats how deep the tigers are.

see i dont see where picking up Mario Williams would be that great for this team. Don't get me wrong, he is going to be a great DE. However, as a group. The Lions have one of the best DE-DT groups both in starters and in backups IMO. I see too many other holes that the Lions need to fill in before we add more power to that side. Of course that goes against what Marinelli wants/is all about, so it wouldnt surprise me if they made that move.
