    Detroit Lions off-season thread

IMO, i think Harrington is best at Baltimore. They need a QB bad there and have always had an offense that doesn't need a great QB to be successful, ie Trent Dilfer.

I am curious to know who is going to get Gabe Watson. Watson could be a 2nd round or later steal.

Does Joey get a better shot at starting at the Jets rather than those other teams. He might get a fair shot in Baltimore. But he would be the backup in Miami, Denver, and Cincy for sure.

Mario Williams is going to be picked very high in the draft. The Jets are the team that every mock draft seems to have picking him up. The Jets are also interested in Joey Harrington. Too bad the Lions can't package a deal with the Jets that includes Harrington and has us grabbing Mario. Also, Bobby Carpenter is a LB that will be around late in the 1st round-early 2nd. What do you think about adding him to the LB core?

Have baseball fans gone far enough?

http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=Ag1N...ov=ap&type=lgns I personally don't like Barry Bonds, but I find it sickening that someone throws a syringe out on the baseball field. Come on people. Have some more class than that. Sadly, this is just San Diego. What is going to happen when Bonds goes to LA, Chicago or New York. They are going to tear him up alive. Bonds might want to think about just playing home games this year.

Young got a stolen base today. Albeit, the worst slide and stolen base I have ever seen.

exactly. The more i think about it. Hell yeah draft Vince Young. Even if he is a bust, the lions are not going to be any worse off then they are right now. What are we really going to draft. Another Aaron Gibson. Another Brent Westbrook. Another Terry Fair.

thats what i was feeling too. Normally at this time, I am praying that the wings have a long playoff season so I dont have to watch a ton of tigers baseball. This summer may not be that bad.

your right about the next 7 games after today. The tigers will be playing so I am hoping that is an advantage. Right now tho, If they can go 4-3 or better, I am happy with that. I found myself last night with the yahoo game channel updates on the tigers on the computer with the wings game on the tv. Honestly, I think I would have rather watched the tigers game. Kinda strange.

I was so set to watch the tigers last night. With direct tv, I am getting all the games during their free preview. SWEET!! I was disappointed to say the least when I turned on the game and they said that the game was blocked out in Detroit area. WHAT A BUNCH OF CROC! I can watch the White Sox and Royals play and the Yanks and Angels...but no Tigers. to Direct Tv. I actually considered buying the Extra Innings package just to see all the tiger games. Not anymore.

bout the only day that wouldn't work for me is april 29th. NFL draft day. I spend that day at my cousin's watching the ticker and wondering why it takes a f***ing 4 hrs to get thru round 1 but only 2 hrs for round 2. I got my official invite to the draft party yesterday!!

I think sadly, that the syringe wont be the most extreme thing fans do against Bonds. I remember in Shea stadium in the 80s-90s, they would throw batteries at players.

    MLB Season 2006 thread

I have already developed a man crush on Joel Zumaya. Just imagine him when he has a few years experience under his belt. Is anyone else going to the home opener in Detroit next Monday? I'll be there. And I have to echo betterred, I honestly can't think of something that could happen in the world of sports that would make me happier than seeing the Tigers win the World Series. I was only four years old in 1984, so I don't remember the Tigers winning the World Series. I remember that my mom bought me a pennant though when they won. i was 5 when they won it in 1984. I had the tigers pennant to. Detroit is a baseball town and the city would go nuts if the Tigers even made the postseason. I wish I was there next monday, but instead, i will be comfy in my armchair watching the game on tv.
