even tho i don't like this trade, it makes sense to me. Cato is not going anywhere. The pistons aquired cato in order to get rid of him. Cato is making $8 towards the cap and becomes a free agent next year. Cato will not be re-signed and the money from cato will go towards resigning ben wallace and chauncey billups.

the super bowl is much more than just a football game. the events that it brought to detroit this past week is mind boggling. The super bowl is american unofficial holiday. Can't say the same about the other 3 major sports??

gowingsgo, I agree with a lot of what you say but this time your out of line. Seattle clearly was controling the game, especially in the first half. The super bowl was Seattle's to win. Ben played like crap for most of the game and I don't buy the "not used to the new ball thing". Come on, they had 2 weeks to get used to the super bowl and effect on the new football...plus, hasselbeck has the same issues to deal with too. Pittsburgh played their C game on sunday. The strange thing is the C game was good enough to win the game. Seattle and Pittsburgh both made enough mistakes to lose the game. Seattle blew the game more. Refs didn't help either but I challenge some of the penatlies, not the roelisberger touchdown. Of course, after you get your ring...you don't care if you played the game great or not. To the steelers and to the steeler fans, this game looks like a masterpiece. I just like the fact that the lions can play a game like that either by seattle or pittsburgh. THE LIONS ARE NOT THAT FAR OFF!! SUPER BOWL XLI, HERE WE COME!!!

Great opening weekend of the nfl playoffs. Just when you think you have it all figured out with the giants or bucs making a run, they make a quick exit. And the team that no one wants to play is back and playing like back-to-back champs. Not sure how this playoffs is going to end up. I don't think Indy will be there but I also don't want to count out New England. Seattle has a great advantage with homefield but a team like carolina or chicago can upset them. NFL playoffs are great!!

I think the Lions are making a huge mistake. Martz is a great offense coordinator and would be a perfect fit in Detroit.

Harrington was not a #1 pick...he was picked 3rd overall. Oops - doesn't matter. He was way overdrafted nonetheless. The Lions are cursed - with other teams getting guys like Roethlisberger, Palmer, Manning etc it only figures that the Lions wind up with someone that doesn't live up to expectations like Harrington..... Palmer and Manning were drafted ahead of Detroit. Not the case with Big Ben tho.

now that seattle is in.....does this mean that Bill Gates will make his way to the Motor City?? please say it isn't so!! I can just see Gates hanging out with Kid Rock and Eminem.
