Saw this on a Penn State message board, thought it would be fun to share.

A Notre Dame fan would know an easy schedule You're right though, its not too tough. CMU will probably be the toughest on the non-conference games. MSU doesn't play OSU or Indiana for the next two years. Not gonna lie, I won't miss playing Pryor has he gets better. I don't like playing Montana State. Nothing good comes from playing 1AA teams. If you win, no one is impressed because you were supposed to win. If you lose...well...just ask Michigan. If MSU, OSU, and PSU ended up tied this season, MSU would get the better bowl because they haven't played a 1AA team while OSU and PSU have. I don't like it. The biggest MSU game in the last 20 years and I have to be at a wedding. Thank god for the college football app on my iPhone.

^^^ Yeah, ugly game from what I read. But hey, a win is a win. Doesn't matter if its ugly or pretty.

I didn't say anything about Rodriguez not coaching his bowl game. I'm not going to get on his case for that. All coaches do it, its unfortunate, but that's how it happens. Saban didn't coach the Citrus Bowl for MSU against Florida when he left. JLS didn't coach Louisville in their bowl game when he came to MSU, etc. I don't remember the details for who stayed at Cincy for the bowl games. I do know that Narduzzi stayed at Cincy and didn't immediately follow to MSU. Even if Dantonio didn't coach Cincy for their bowl game; he also didn't call potential recruits for his new school from a cell phone issued by his old school during a recruiting dead period or submit his resignation via a grad assistant. Honestly, is this what passes for Michigan Man behavior these days? I actually agree with what RichRod said, but he probably should have worded it a little better. When you're making millions of bucks in a state with the worst economy and Callahaning the winningest program in football history, I would think you'd want to have a little more tact. Hell, that makes JLS look like a master with the media. It's cost us already. The Michigan game last year. Dantonio was right, look at their sidelines during the game. Michigan was scared and MSU was in the drivers seat. Then for reasons I will never understand for the rest of my life, MSU took their foot off the gas and started playing prevent defense with way too much time left. It was like the ghost of JLS had returned to Spartan Stadium. Anyway, for this weekend. Homer pick: MSU 31 - PSU 24 Actual pick PSU 24 - MSU 17

Is UM a basketball school now? That team is showing a lot more promise Good win by UM. Hell, if nothing else it moves the Spartans up in the rankings and makes the Big 10 look better.

The slave or the get a life one? "It's like back before the Civil War when slaves had the right to buy their freedom," said Marv Robon, one of Rodriguez's lawyers. "A penalty of $4 million is almost like a slave from Africa trying to buy his freedom in America. I think it's an outrageous amount. It's just not fair and it's not related to any damages the university is suffering." "It's amazing some of the things that people would say [on a message board] or yell at you of a personal nature," Rodriguez said Monday. "You almost want to tell them, 'Get a life.' "There's a whole lot bigger problems. Look at the economy." Awwww...are people being mean to poor widdle Wichie?

Well, you've bought yourself a Snake Oil Salesman in a wizard hat. Nothing I've seen from Dantonio has given me any indication that he would up and leave, then try to sue his former school to get out of his contract, then have his lawyer compare the situation to being a slave, then when his season is imploding, tell the fanbase to get a life and worry about the economy. I can think of another coach who gets criticized for being too conservative, who is a mentor to Dantonio, and who is 6-1 against Michigan with a national championship I can also think of a former Michigan coach who was criticized for being too conservative who has a 122-40 lifetime record and no way in hell would have this team end up at 3-8.

Because what Dantonio says at his presser affects the outcome of the game. If anything, it's just another genius manipulation of the media by Dantonio. He says "Go Bucks." The few non-general studies major Wolverines on the team that can actually understand more than pointing and grunting hear this and get fired up to show little brother what they can do, that they're not going to let the coach of a cow college disrespect them like that. Michigan pulls off an upset. The Snake-Oil Salesman's job stays a little safer, and MSU goes to the Rose Bowl. As far as Dantonio leaving... "It's not over. I'm going to be a coach here for a long time. It's not over, it's just starting." -After the 2007 Michigan game. Another great media performance by Dantonio. When he was hired, the told the press that win or lose, this was his last job. I can't find the exact quote. The only other school I could see Dantonio jumping ship for would be Ohio State. But the only way Cheatypants McSweatervest is going anywhere is if the NCAA does anything. Dantonio is staying in East Lansing. And he is going to make Michigan long for the days when Bobby and JLS were coaching MSU.

One hit from Laurinaitis and he won't be playing much anymore. I'm actually a little fearful for him.
-
I love Dantonio I've heard that for a while now. It wouldn't surprise me. As of right now, he's not cut out to be a Big 10 back. He's small and runs upright. Smaller guys like Ringer and Hart can do well in the Big 10 since they run lower to the ground and they're much more solid. And even then, they've both battled injuries. McGuffie has learned the hard way that its a lot easier to hurdle high school linebackers. His seat has got to be mighty hot. I wonder what kind of phone calls Bill Martin has been getting.

Or how about when Jalen Rose rubbed his ass on the block S at the Breslin? As much as Michigan fans want to claim otherwise, their school is no better (or worse) than anyone else when it comes to being assholes.
-
hahahaha...yeah. That's exactly it. DickRod has just been sandbagging the Big10 and saving his good s*** for this game. That's exactly it. How's that blue and yellow kool aide?

GVSU plays Ashland in a rematch from an earlier GLIAC game. The Lakers beat the Eagles 48-42. I have no rooting interest in the upcoming UM/OSU game. While I would certainly like to see tOSU lose, I will not actively cheer for Michigan. I'm just cheering for the Spartans to get business done against Penn State.
-
And, the D2 football playoffs start today. GVSU has (of course) spent most of the year as #1 and has a first round bye. They will play the winner of Ashland and Minnesota State.
-
Heh, good point. I've been very quiet on here with any schadenfreude about the Wolverines, but I have to admit. I am loving watching the Callahaning of their program. As a side note, I hate bye weeks.

You need to buy season tickets.
-
1: Ryan Miller. I always cheer for former Spartans 2: Alex Ovechkin. Love watching him play. 3: Jarome Iginla. He can do it all. 4: Marin Brodeur. Year and and year out plays at a high level. 5: Fedorov. I always liked the guy when he was a Wing.
-
Well of course UM is improving. They have no where to go but up.
-
Man, you know the football season is bad when the Michigan fans are talking basketball and its only November.
-
It will end just as soon as the players meet the unrealistically high expectations people put on them. Easy as that.

Tried a few new ones the other day. Anchor Porter. Not quite as good as the Pipeline Porter which has become one of my favorites, but still very good. Smooth with a nice flavor. St. Arnold's Christmas Ale. I usually like the St. Arnold's, but there was just something about this one I didn't like. I can't quite figure it out. And hot damn, Boulevard Brewing Company out of KC is finally distributing in Texas I picked up a sixer of the Lunar Ale, which is a dark wheat beer. It tasted so good while watching the MSU game today.

I've got two books going right now. The first is Four Days in November, by Vincent Bugliosi. The book details the day that President Kennedy was killed and the following three days. Well, I assume the following three days. I'm still on the day of the assassination. It's very detailed and quite interesting. I'm also re-reading one of my all time favorite books, Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh. I've been disappointed by the last few books Welsh has written, but this one is abso-*******-lutely brilliant.

Ugh. That was ugly. It's ok. Put it behind us and move on Michigan.
