If ARod comes here, I almost think that has to mean something would happen with Renteria. ARod is being wasted by the Yanks at third. He needs to be at short. I couldn't care less if it gives the team a Yankees type of feel. When a player of ARod's caliber is available, you have to at least make a play for him.

They're now saying that Adams isn't playing because of some other reason. His problems over the summer, whatever he's in the doghouse for now, and the pending legal matters probably mean his days are numbered in EL.

While I make it a rule never to cheer for a team from the Texas State Park (Colorado) I have to cheer for the Rockies on this one. I can't stand the Red Sox or their fans. The Sox have basically become a slightly smaller version of the Yankees. The entire Rockies payroll is only 2 million dollars more than how much the Red Sox bid for the rights to sign Dice K.

I just turned on the Iowa/Purdue game. What the hell is up with Iowa this season? I didn't think they'd win the Big 10 championship, but I thought they'd be in the top half to top third of the conference.

So because the NHL hasn't forced a huge reduction of the size of goalie equipment, the technology doesn't exist? That makes plenty of sense. You mean to tell me there's the technology to make something smaller than goalie pads that will stop bullets, but not pucks? As far as the nets, I'm still waiting to hear how technology is supposed to bring down the safety nets.
