Joey came back to the D last thanksgiving and lit up the Lions. Will Garcia do the same? Probably.

Not planning on it, but I did read that MSU has a 2-1 record against OSU when the Buckeyes are ranked #1. Be scared!

Goalie pads are the size the are because the NHL hasn't mandated a big shrinking of the equipment. I'm sure it could be done. Has there been enough of a reaction to the new jerseys to determine if they're better or not? I know there was that article about how sweat/water is dripping into the gloves and skates, but that's all I've seen. How is technology supposed to bring down the safety nets? Some kind of invisible force field instead of the nets?

Anyone watching Rutgers/South Florida? Been a pretty good game so far, I'm just hoping that Rutgers can hang on.

It's a fairly common practice in the NFL to do this if needed. And, despite the common misconception, the Lions don't sell out every game. At least according to ESPN.com who has them averaging about 95% capacity for the last 5 years.

How is it an uneven advantage and poor sportsmanship if NHL players use expensive, top of the line skates and I use a pair of $100 skates in my beer league? It's only an advantage if for some reason, I was playing against NHL'ers, and they'd have a huge advantage over me no matter what skates they were using.

Looks like he's playing in the ECHL http://www.charlotte.com/sports/story/318232.html It's funny, I always read about what a great goalie he was, but the times I saw him play State, he never did that hot. Still, I wish him the best.

Yeah, I don't like those type of fans either. There's a MSU message board I'm on that has far too many people like that. Of course, I do have my "have you kicked a wolverine today?" bumper sticker here on the cork board in computer room. There's no point in putting it on my car, not enough people down here would get it.

Come on, I've seen MSU fans called plenty of things, but there's no way we're the worst fans in the country, or even the Big 10. Wisconsin fans are the worst in the Big 10. As far as the country, come out to the Big 12. Texas Tech and Colorado fans are major assholes.

Bad start for MSU, getting smoked 6-0 by North Dakota. Granting, there's no shame in losing to a team like the Souix, but still, you want to do better than 6-0. But, there's a lot of hockey to be played, no point getting worried.
