The very same. He is, or was a columnist for the Denver Post.

What Crawford says to Bowman isn't appropriate for this site

I have the book. Its actually much less biased than you'd think it would be. Dater does a good job. I can just imagine the travesty that book would have been if Woody Paige wrote it. Of course, I doubt he can read or write.

The idea behind Atkins and other low carb diets is that your body will burn fat instead of carbs for energy. Really, most fad diets are just that, a fad. The time tested method to lose weight and get in shape is pretty simple. Eat right and exercise.

I just spent the last 5 hours reading Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows. Excellent book, the ending didn't disappoint at all.

Thank you. I had another question for you. First, you say that the Wings matter the most because if they didn't make the playoffs, the media would be all over it and it would be headline news. Then a few posts down you say there's no bandwagon fans because there's no media coverage of hockey. So, the only way the Red Wings would get covered is if they didn't make the playoffs?

^^^ In 1994, SI did a story called something like "Why the NHL is Hot and the NBA is Not" or something like that. If I had to guess, the 1994-95 lockout probably killed whatever moment hockey had built up after the Rangers winning the Cup. -
There's no bandwagon Wings fans??? The Joe would still be sold out if the Wings strung together 13 straight losing seasons?? Ilitch would cut ticket prices? Yeah, if you believe that, I have some ocean front property in Arizona I'm looking to sell. You might be interested, I'll sell cheap.
-
You don't honestly think The Joe would be sold out every game if the Wings had 13 straight losing seasons like the Tigers, do you? Of course the Tigers have picked up plenty of bandwagon fans, but there are also a ton of people who have been Tigers fans their whole life, who are finally just happy to have a good team to celebrate.

Meh. I like the white jersey, but overall it's nothing to get worked up about one way or the other. They're not great, but they're not horrible.
-
I don't see how that proves the Wings are the team that matters the most

There is no chance Crosby could ever be the most popular figure in sports. Well, maybe if the NFL, NBA, MLB, NASCAR, and the PGA all stopped operating, he might have a chance then. -
My personal order is 1: Tigers 2: Red Wings 3: Lions 4: Pistons But I think overall the order would be 1: Lions 2: Tigers 3: Red Wings 4: Pistons

I'm not going to believe this until I see an announcement on ESPN.com. And I'm not holding my breath either. -
If Rodney is healed and can pitch like he did last year, we'll be in good shape.

Right now I'm re-reading the Harry Potter series. Currently I'm on Order of the Phoenix. I should have it finished today or tomorrow, then read the Half Blood Prince on Friday.

Since the 1989-90 season the Red Wings had 770 wins, 420 losses (including OTL) which equals a .647 winning percentage. In that same time frame, New Jersey had 711 wins and 477 losses (including OTL) which equals a .594 winning percentage. You're right, the Devil's weren't at .600. Although I'd say they're a lot better than the .460 than you originally claimed, and I'd say they were pretty damn close to the Wings.

There's no way in hell I want to see McCarty back on the bench.

Are they wrong though?

Agents do what their clients want. It's not like Markov is telling his agent to take the Wings deal and the agent is refusing. I always laughed when Datsyuk's agent got all the blame for the contract demands, and Datsyuk got none. Yes, the agent can tell the player, "I think we can get X on the open market," but at the end of the day, the agent works for the player and not the other way around.

Nashville decision will say a lot about Bettman's legacy

How does that list compare to other teams? -
If there's no news on the board, wouldn't it be safe to assume nothing is happening?

Lidge would look good in a Tigers uniform. I was reading something about him in ESPN the Magazine (got it for free, I'd never pay for that crap), I guess the Astros GM isn't a big wheeler dealer though, so who knows if he'll deal.

Thanks. And good to see another Laker

I tend to wear whatever is on sale. Give the choice, I like the Bauer products, but I'm not picky. For those who have used them, how are the Warrior sticks? When I played lacrosse, I used a lot of Warrior gear and really liked it.
