I've been pretty bad about working out/eating right the last month and a half. I was back in Michigan for weddings for about a total of 3 weeks, which means not eating right and drinking a lot. Then we had people at our place for another week. So yeah, I've been slacking. But now, the new job schedule is set, weddings are done, no traveling except to Houston for a weekend in August. Time to get back to the gym again!

Why would the Wings make an offer?

^^^ I don't think Maroth can be sent down to AAA unless it's a rehab start.

Man...that was a rough game last night.

Is Roman Colon still hurt? He's not the best solution, but he'd be serviceable in the pen.
-
There's still 98 games to play and the Tigers are only half a game back of Cleveland. And this is missing Kenny all season and Zumaya since May; and a shaky bullpen. I don't see any point in trying to deal for bullpen help yet. When Rodney is on, he's great. I don't know if he's hurt, or just needs to get his head in the game or what. But if he can find his form from last year, he'd be a great set up man.

Nick Saban can rot in hell. His leaving MSU sent the program into a hole that is going to take years to recover from. History is going to call the Bobby Williams/John L. era "The Dark Ages."

There are times I think I never should have left Michigan... Great job by JV,

Plenty of discussion already in the "other sports" forum.

Great job, Verlander!

Ratings for Stanley Cup finals down 20 percent

According to Behind the Jersey, the US had about 2 million viewers and Canada had roughly 2.2 million viewers. Now, I know that Canada has about 33 million people and the US has about 300 million, but I still thought there would be more Canadians watching. -
I played pickup hockey most of my life. Either street hockey or ice hockey on a pond or when my neighbor built a backyard rink in the winter. It wasn't until I was about 22-23 that I decided to start playing organized ice hockey. Due to time and money I haven't played since last fall, but I'm going to start playing drop in again over the summer than join the league again in the fall.

Nice to the Tigs bounce back and Bondo stay undefeated, even though it was a close one. Anyone going to see Miller today?
-
I'd need the tats as well. I fully sympathize with Zumaya. Guitar Hero is a dangerous game. I once bruised my thumb playing it.

Me rockin' out and reppin' the 517. I actually don't like this picture because I can see my hairline shrinking At the MSU/OSU game last year At Harry's on Cass Corridor for opening day this year. My bosses own a ranch and let me use it for fishing whenever I want.

Serious Talks Of Expansion...And The Wings Moving East
BlakChamber replied to Sleight's topic in General
I wouldn't mind seeing a team in Houston. But otherwise, I think the NHL needs to work on shoring up the popularity in the existing non-traditional markets before they go adding new ones. -
If that's the case, Sidney Crosby would have hoisted the Cup last night.

Wow...this was the lowest the Tigers had drafted in the first round since 1991. According to the new rules, he's got to be signed by August 15th, or wait until next year. If he doesn't sign, he'll go to UNC http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...rtnered=rss_det

You mean like what happened in Detroit 5 years ago?

No, actually it is true. It's happened on both sides of the border. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=gmai...tional%20anthem

The Ducks aren't going anywhere, that's just wishful thinking. They may not win the Cup again, but they're going to be in the mix.
-
While I'm not a Ducks fan, congrats to them. I am happy that Drew Miller, one of my favorite Spartans will get his name on the Cup.

Wasn't Thames a Texas prospect at one time, or was that Monroe? I know it was one of them.
