For those of you who have a slingbox or are knowledgable about it, I have a question. I live in Texas, which makes it hard to watch the Wings, Tigers, Spartans, etc. My parents still live in Michigan though. If I bought a Slingbox and hooked it up at their house, I'd be able to watch the games down here, right?

I've been saying that as well. There's no reason the NHL can't change their schedule around. Well, actually there must be a reason they can't. Or they're just dumb. My biggest complaint about VS is whenever the Wings are on, it seems like it's always a Monday night, at the same time as 24

I don't think I ever got to see Zani play then. Maybe I had him confused with Tarkki. Both NMU goalies with funny names. As a side note, I have always liked Northern's jerseys, I think they're really sharp. As of right now, MSU would take the last spot in the tournament. They're tied for 13th with Colorado College and St. Lawrence, but have a higher RPI.

I think there are enough topics like this. People, please. There are plenty existing threads discussing what might happen and what you think the Wings should do. Use them, please.

If my choices are win the Cup with a renter, or lose in the playoffs, I'll take winning with a renter every day of the week and twice on Sundays. And I'd be willing to bet 99.9% of the players in the league would feel the same way.

Well we all hope the Wings can get a steal. Just don't be too disappointed if/when it doesn't happen.

I like how Cleary is playing too. I'm just saying I don't see him getting better and better. I'm certainly not in support of trading him though. Time will tell if we're seeing the real Dan Cleary who wasn't used properly before, or we're just seeing a guy having a fluke season.

How much the Wings give up depends on what kind of player they get. You want a good player, you have to be prepared to deal. You want another Cory Cross type pickup, you're not going to have to give up much.

Despite State laying an egg against WMU, they moved up from 14th to tied for 13th in the PWR. Still going to need a big showing in the CCHA tournament.

I know the Aggies want to go over 100K, and they have the room, but it will be intersting to see if it ever happens. Aggies fear change, you should have seen all the people bitching about the new scoreboard that was put in this year.

This is Cleary's 7th season in the NHL. I doubt he's going to get that much better.

Sorry, but I don't think I could vote for a guy with a .500 record for the Hobey. I believe as of right now MSU is out of the tournament. They need to win out plus have a very strong showing in the CCHA tournament.

Yes, but at the same time, if you bring in teams of UCLA/Georgetown caliber and keep getting blown out, who wants to see that? And Hockeytown Red Wings, as much as we Spartans love Izzo and our basketball program, if MSU ever got good at football, it would dwarf the attention hoops gets. MSU is a basketball school, only because we're not good enough to be a football school.

If ND gets in the top 15, it will be solely because they're ND and the media loves them every year no matter how bad they are. I haven't heard anything about Oregon being top 15 either. How about instead of apologizing for making duplicate threads, you first look to see if there's a thread already made. If it involves wha the Wings should do at the deadline, it's already out there

According to MLive, the UM basketball team will finish with the lowest attendance in 25 years. Perhaps they ought to change the phrase to "Leaders and the best, as long as we're winning." As far as the argument that UM fans just don't care about basketball, I say bulls***. They don't care because the team sucks. If UM had MSU like success in hoops (without cheating ) every Wolverine fan that says wake him up when football season starts would be packing Chrisler. I think a lot of the blame falls at the University though. They have a crappy facility and Amaker clearly isn't the guy to coach a winning team. He's got some talent, just think about what Izzo could do with those kids.

I've got to agree with that. I think had the Wings made a comparable deal with Philly, it would have looked a lot more desperate than what the Preds did. The Preds apparently have the depth in their system to make this kinds of deals and not have a huge impact down the road. The Wings do not.

Doesn't Osgood have another year on his contract? I thought he did. I could be making things up though.
