I'm off to the Texas Bowl in an hour. Should be a good time, I've never been to a bowl game before. We're making a whole day out of it. We have tickets to some high fallootin' reception. Then there's the Taste of Texas event, with beer, bbq, and Reckless Kelly doing a concert. Then the game. Rutgers v. Kansas State. I'm hoping Rutgers travels well, because I'm pretty sure there's going to be plenty of K-State fans there. Go RU!

I third BRTD's post.

No need to fix it. I think I had it right the first time

It was written by Kara Yorio so it's automatically bad

English Premire League. You know, soccer. The sport played by either effeminate Europeans or third world countries too poor to afford a real sport. I believe the point of the game is to jog around for 90 minutes, then if you get tired, fake an injury.

Exactly. Quinn is overrated anyway, IMO.

Millen must have pitcures of William Ford getting intimate with barnyard animals. There's no other explanation as to how he still has a job.

Given the way the market is going, 12.5 million in 2009 for a pitcher of Bonderman's caliber might be a steal. I thought the Detroit Tiger Weblog had a good piece today http://www.detroittigersweblog.com/2006/12...-the-english-d/

Tigers give Bonderman a 4 year deal. Good move on their part http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...NEWS99/61218045

Zetterberg fan here

Yeah, GV looked pretty sloppy at times. But, they made the plays when they needed to. I was really impressed by the Bearcats runningback, he was great.
-
Great job by GVSU today. 4th National Championship in 6 years

The first time I played Guitar Hero, my buddies and I played for about 10 hours. My arm was a little sore the next day, My thumb was especially sore from hitting the toggle switch.

Jakatis is crazy good.

On MLB writer Jason Beck's blog he says that there's no trade in the works, and that the signing means Grilli and Miner have to battle it out in spring trainer for the long relief spot. This signing really doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out the Mesa signing as well. Something has to be brewing. Maybe the Marlins are looking to get the Rollercoaster back http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/rumors/post/Ma...r?urn=mlb,17156

It wasn't that much of an effect, you guys still got swept

And GVSU will be heading to the D2 National Championship for the 5th time in 6 years. GO LAKERS!
-
ESPN2's bottom line is saying the Tigers have agreed to a 1 year deal with Jose Mesa.

3 touchdowns by Pinner. Only the Lions...
-
Just a reminder that GVSU will be on national tv tonight. Grand Valley v. Delta State. 7:00 pm on ESPN2.

I'd like to see Miller get at least a year in the minors. The Tigers have enough arms and have the luxury of not having to throw a young arm to the wolves, so why not take advantage of that.

^^^ Where's Rodney?

^^^ I had just taken a quick look at the box score and didn't catch that it was an empty netter. And he's usually not an undisciplined guy, at least when I saw him play. If he can play at Yost and Cornell and not got rattled, he can play almost anywhere. Sounds like an off night for him.

The girlfriend and I will be attending the Texas Bowl, formerly known as the galleryfurniture.com Bowl and the EV1.net bowl. December 28th in Houston. Rugters takes on Kansas State. The girlfriend is a Rutgers alum so she's pretty excited about it. She's got the day off work, so we're going to go down and partake in all the pre-game festivities. We had an offer to go to the Cotton Bowl too, but we couldn't afford tickets. Neither of us have ever been to a bowl game, so we're looking forward to it. I think Rutgers has a pretty good shot to win.
