Why don't they celebrate Christmas in Ann Arbor? You can't find three wise men and a virgin anywhere. To be fair, while the joke makes me laugh, I'd rather say it about another school. While I hate UM athletics and their fans, I have a lot of respect for the UM law school, and their academics. Plus, girls at UM are soooooooo ugly, I'd have to be on the dry spell to end all dry spells before I'd consider having, ahem, relations with one of them

I figured most people on the board, if they follow college hockey are probably a fan of a CCHA team. Here's my thoughts on the season so far. The Good Michigan State. Despite having an extremely tough opening schedule, road games at Michigan and Cornell and North Dakota at a neutral site; and suffering a ton of injuries, the Spartans having anywhere from 5 to 8 scholarship players out, the Spartans have a 4-1-1 record. That includes a shutout of North Dakota, tying Michigan, and splitting a series with Cornell. Comley may have gotten his s**t together. Alaska-Fairbanks. The Nanooks are sitting at 4-2-1 and have wins against Michigan and Minnesota. This is a dangerous team, but their real test doesn't come until January when they travel down here to play Michigan then Michigan State on consecutive weekends. Michigan. Despite losing Tamberlini who was a badass, and Montoya who wasn't anythign special last year, the Wolverines are still looking good. There have been some cracks in the armor though. Losing to UAF and giving up a game tying goal to MSU with less than a minute left. But, they did beat Boston College and are looking good. The Bad Notre Dame. The new coach isn't going to make that much of a difference really. The Ugly Ohio State. Last week the Buckeyes were sitting pretty at number 4 in the country and had what should have been an easy series against Western. Instead, the Broncos swept the Buckeyes. The problems continue for Ohio State, losing last night to Miami. Not a good start for a team that many picked to win the CCHA.

The Question: What you won't be saying this saturday? Ahhh...well played
-
I listened to it on the radio. It sounded like a really ugly game. This weekend's series against Western is a much sweep for the Spartans.
-
I think this week is a big test to see whether the Spartans are for real, or if they were just overacheiving. We've got the slumping Buckeyes in Columbus, then a home and home against the inconsistent, but dangerous Broncos. EL on Friday, KZoo on Saturday. Anything else than 4 points should be considered a failure.

Figures. The day I drop Roy from my fantasy team he blows up for three TDs

GO BUCKEYES

Losing to Penn State to end the season is practically a Spartan tradition. Don't hold your breath.
-
Yeah, I heard it was a pretty ugly game. I actually wanted to go up to the game, and I got stuck in a meeting. Two against Nebraska-Omaha this weekend, the Ohio State next Tuesday. Four games in a week, that's rough.

Put down the crack pipe. No s**t Sherlock. Amazing how people always think whatever you say is all seriousness. As if the...didn't...help...at...all... Next time, try the as its the generally accepted way to convey sarcasm on the internet. I know you're slow...with your wayne state education...but really...you could at least try -

As my friend put it, "he's really not a clubhouse guy."

That's for sure. God that game was painful to watch. On Inside College Hockey.com the Spartans moved up to #3. I'm guessing on USCHO they'll move to at least #5. The Spartans are playing Ferris in Big Rapids on Tuesday. I want to drive out there for the game but I have a feeling I won't be able to because of school.

I agree 100% on this. The organization is a whole pretty much sucks. Although, the defense has been looking OK.
-
Until the O-Line improves, I don't see any point in drafting another QB. It won't change anything.

The Spartans swept the Pussycats last night for the first time in 4 seasons, winning 5-0. Vicari got his second shutout of the season and 14th of his career. He's got a chance to catch Ryan Miller's NCAA shutout record. The problems for Ohio State continue, getting swept by Miami this weekend. The Redhawks outscored the Buckeyes 7-2 in both games. Ouch!

Lesbians in the WNBA??? Surely you jest. Next thing someone will be saying that there's lesbians playing softball. And, for the record. I will be holding my press conference tomorrow at one, to announce that I do in fact like women.

I'm still here, and bleeding green. MSU has the talent to win out and finish 8-3. I don't know if they have the heart though. I'm thinking we could win the next three, then get blown out by Penn State to end the season, finishing at 7-4.

Stevie Y is married with kids, I think he's got three. Assuming there are *** hockey players, I don't see one coming out anytime soon, given the culture of the sport.

This week's bandwagon status: on. Glad to see you're back.

I know...there were way more Osgood jerseys in the crowd than I thought there would. I had one, then two guys a couple rows in front of me each had one. After the first goal, we all said to each other, "well, gotta figure Ozzie will give up a long one." What section were you in, I was in 117. First time I had been to an Aeros game, I was pretty impressed. Not a huge crowd, but they were loud and rowdy. And yeah, Hudler was fun to watch.
-
You going to be at the game tonight? I'll be there, wearing an Osgood jersey
-
Yeah, makes sense that if they're going to have Ozzie down in Texas to play San Antonio, they'd have him play in Houston as well. That means I have to pack my Osgood jersey for the trip
-
Any chance he'll be playing the game against the Aeros in Houston on Friday? I'm going to that one.

Yeah yeah, homer boy. We know what you think is the greatest game played yesterday Nice move by Charlie Weis there. He's exactly what ND needed.
