Is Joey MacDonald going to be in Grand Rapids this season, or has Howard got the starting job locked up?

My favorite thing about Marty was he sounded EXACTLY like Bullwinkle. That made me laugh every time he opened his mouth.

Joey isn't that great, but the O-Line is horrible. Jesus Christ himself couldn't complete passes when the pocket collapses as soon as the ball is hiked.

The Spartans strength isn't their defense this year, its pretty obvious. Although the D came up big when they had to.

You don't mean the starting position in Detroit, do you? There is no way the Wings are going to rush Howard to the show.

scUM gets overrated every year, you can count on it. That's not to say they're an untalented team, far from it, but they're not a top 5 time.

My take on Michigan State this weekend The Good The offense. 49 points, 685 total yards of offense, which is number 2 on the all-time list for the school. QB Drew Stanton was 22 for 29 with 297 yards and 2 TDs with 1 INT, and he only played three quarters. He also picked up 60 yards on 10 carries running. He looked like he was being a little more conservative running the ball. The ground game looked great, with Jehuu Caulcrick rushing for 140 yards on 14 carries and 3 TDs. Jason Teague had 89 yards on 15 carries and a TD. Plus, true freshman Javon Ringer had 69 yards on 12 carries and a TD. And, he did it all with limited playing time. This kid is young, and not that big, but he can fly. Looks like MSU is using a 3 headed monster running attack like last year. MSU's spread offense worked too, with 11 different WR's getting a catch. Scott, Brown, and Terry Love (who's going to have a huge year, you heard it here first) caught the most passes, with Scott and Brown each getting a TD. The Bad The defense. State made some stops when they had to, but remember, this was Kent State. They haven't had a winning season in years. The secondary can't let receivers catch balls with ease when they're playing Ohio State or scUM. Plus, there wasn't any pressure on the QB. He pretty much had all the time in the world. Red zone turn overs hurt too. MSU should have had 70 points. There were two fumbles and an INT all inside the 20. Not good. The Ugly Shanking the PAT. Ouch!

Ann Arbor is probably considered part of Detroit for the rankings. Actually, it probably wasn't ranked because the city is filled with ugly chicks and horrible people. These kind of lists should really stop at about 25 cities. I mean, do we really care where Billings Montana is ranked?

I think this game is a lot like the MSU v. scUM game in that one team, the Aggies cares more about it than the other team does. Texas v. OU seems to have more bowl and Big 12 championship implications than the A&M game, so I'm sure the Horns get more fired up for this one. BTW, nice avatar. Mmmm....Shiner

It wouldn't surprise me if Infante is on his way out this season. He was a big disapointment this year, after his great season last year. Both Inge and the Tigers have made it sound like they're happy with him at the hot corner, so I don't really see him moving back behind the plate. You never know though.

Great news!!! I heard a rumor on another site that Pudge wants out of Detroit, he and Tram aren't getting along.

Well, when you testify before Congress, you are under oath, so he could be charged with prejury. I really don't see that happening though. I suppose he could argue that he had never used steroids when he testified, and only started using them after going before Congress, so he was in fact telling the truth
