He was drafted in 2003, so it could be a while. It usually takes a while for d-men to develope, especially a mid round pick. I agree with Hatcher, If he plays well in GR then we could see him sooner rather than later. My guess is he's still about 2 years away.

Thanks again for the info Henkka.
-
He came into prospects camp looking awful in the first game, but then straightened out and played extremely well. It'll be interesting to see what he does at training camp with all the Vets. There's a bunch of info on him in the Propects forum. People call him a combination of Dats and Zetts.
-
Where did he come from? We didn't draft him did we?
-
I am excited. I love physical hockey, and this guy just keeps impressing. I would been excited at the draft if we picked up somebody like him, but this is just fine too. I hope he has a great camp too.

Great article Hatcher, thanks! The more I hear about Big Snake, the more I like.
-
He already has his own website !? That awsome, thanks for the link!
-
Wow, they are pretty full. That 4th line looks to pretty damn mean, and I've heard Oulahen is an extremly good for the PK. Even if Jorgy plays for Toledo, it'll still be good to get him in the fold. But Big Snake is priority #1.

Thanks for the info NN. Well then Grigs is doing well in the reg. season, which is good!
-
Hmmm... I was unaware of GR's roster being filled. WingMan, you always seem to have good to great knowledge of hockey in general, thanks for the valuable contributions!
-
I dunno what the RSL is doing, some kind of tournament thing, but Grigs has 2 goals in 2 games.

Howard played awsome, also stopping a penalty shot that Lebda got us into. Safe to say he won't be offered a contract. Apparently Kindl has been playing well, he's just not scoring, which scares me. Big Snake is impressing the hell outta me, I hope Nill and Holland take some notice. What impresses me the most he isn't a goon by any stretch of the imagination. He didn't even have a penalty in game 3, but scored. When the time is needed, he drops em. From all the recaps I've read at redwingscentral, he seems to be getting challenged, not him challenging others. I also thought McGrath played well, putting up a couple points.
-
I think they'll sign a couple. Nate Robinson left, and could prolly use 2-3 more players. Big Snake, Jorgensen, and maybe one or both of the Jarret's would be great. They need Big Snake, so I'm pretty sure he has the best shot. He had a Gordie Howe hat trick! And he fought Musselman. Sounds like a bad Japanese monster movie "Big Snake vs. Musselman" None the less, he had 1G 1A +3 and 7PIM. Not a bad game at all.
-
Apparently his agent said if they sign Ohlund to a big contract he might be forced to look elsewhere. He wants around $1.25, which is a lot for us, but who knows what's gonna happen with our RFA's. Thoughts?

Thanks WingMan! It'll be interesting to see what Hackert can do in TC.
-
Anybody have any info on Ryan Keller or Michael Hackert?
-
Well, it seems as though he's certainly on his way out, the Nucks just traded for a center, Craig Darby, for future considerations. If Datsyuk doesn't play, I would love to see Cooke here.
-
Crap, I knew I shoulda went! Sounds awsome Barnes. I was kinda worried about Big Snake in the first 2 games, not scoring but getting a s***load of penalties. But then he plays Tampa again, doesn't even get a penalty, and scores. Plus he says Sweet. Also says Man, this guy certainly doesn't lead on like he has an attitude problem. Sounds like he knows what he's gotta do, and I hope he does it. Jorgensen sounds like a fantasic way to go too. And I like it. Nill is great. Plus Jorgy is only 19.
-
Did you just McCarty a handy offensive player?
-
Wow, that's a pretty s***ty deal.
-
While I haven't actually seen him play, he's well worth the risk IMO. Hopefully his off-ice problems can be cured with age and veteran leadership. A punk is just what we need to develope, Maltby won't be around forever. But keep in mind I would like Avery back, which will explain this and probably make people angry.
-
Kenny was doing so well too! I doubt he's gonna be signed due to his age, but I could be wrong. Hell, Chelios was signed. We'll see how well that goes in about 4 weeks.
-
From what I've read, he didn't do too well in the first game, but obviously in the second he looked alot better. McGrath seems to be doing well too.
-
Yzerman and Chelios provide plenty of leadership on their own, not to mention Lidstrom, Draper, and Shanahan.
-
No thanks.
