Four of the Russian 5 unit are legends. Those kind of players are once in a lifetime. Sorry to say, but it is pretty much impossible to built a team like that anymore. Those kind of players simply do not exist anymore. There will not be another Fedorov or Fetisov, Lidstrom or Forsberg. This were the best of the best representing Russians and Swedes.

I don't understand why is Homer considered under-appreciated/unsung by many. Iam sure everyone knows and agrees that he was one of the most valuable Red Wings. Every game that he played he was mentioned and talked about by commentators and hockey analysts as being the best at what he does. They are still talking about him. I thing he is very appreciated and sung. There is no shortage of players falling in to this category, but certainly not Holmstrom.

Thanks to Red Army team I have become a Red Wings fan. I have watch Fetisov, Larionov, Konstantinov and Fedorov playing in Moscow. Lots of similarities between this two great teams. Unbelievable, unmatched skill and determination. Can't wait to add this movie to my collection.

Watching Franzen play makes me want to sing " Hey You." It is amazing how every word of that song relates to Franzen. Sorry Mr. McCartney for going off topic. Rock n roll brings out lots of emotions.

There is only one "sign" while they are RFAs. The good sign. They are trapped and will sign anyways. When they become UFAs things will change. However good attitude is always welcomed.

This supper modern entertainment district and the awesome arena will bring joy and economic values to the people of Detroit. We'll deserved and long overdue. Looking forward to visit one day. Olympia sounds nice. However Red Wings Arena would be an instant classic and the best hockey arena in the world. Too bad it would not happen. -
Seabrook and Bickell and others from Chicago are available per nhl.com. Would love to have them. Both can make a huge impact on our team. Kenny needs to wake up.

I think DD is the best young defenseman we have. It is ok to overpay him even for a long term deal. Tatar is replaceable.

So 1mil for 10 games. That is 100k per game. 20k capacity arena Wings fans pay $5 each to watch Cleary play. What a ripoff ! And that is just the bonus. -
