Studying for my final exam in my last class to get a 2 year degree in IT - Network Security. I have an "A" going into the final (got a 93% on the mid-term). Now I will accept all doors opening in the employment world offering me a pant-load of $$$.

On topic...Not only am I a fan of the Red Wings team on the ice, I'm a fan of the mentality of the organization. The Red Wings ooze integrity and professionalism. And as stated in this thread, it's the Stevie Y. legacy. I am not only proud of the Wings winning record, I am very proud of the character they display. I could cite numerous times when Crosby's behavior would not fit with this team's persona and I absolutely would not want his ego in the dressing room. Even if that meant that Bettman suddenly loved the Wings. I will take Pavel over Sydney any day.

Finally got to see the video (thanks Doc). I'm not surprised he didn't get called for it. Crosby is a disgrace to hockey and is a terrible captain. The example he sets is deplorable.

This. Seems funny to me that sometimes, when there are multiple players who see the jaw rattling hit about to happen....I don't notice any players on the same team screaming something like..... HEY, LOOK UP! YOU'RE ABOUT TO GET CREAMED!! just sayin'.

Me, too. I pay attention to other teams and players' news, but I don't actively search it out as thoroughly anymore. The Wings are my focus. I find all the other stuff in the league interesting, but really, only the Wings matter to me. If the Wings had a 15 point lead at the end of the regular season, swept their way to the finals every time, and won the Cup 15 years in a row, I would never be bored. I'm a homer. I don't care.

I'm pretty sure that's the case for both of them. Some people take the internet ssoooo seriously. I will note that I have had my moments of being drawn in. People lie and reconstruct the truth in forums??!! *gasp*

I like reading threads where folks actually get mad and comment on Mindfly and Carman's posts.

^^^I agree with you. Of course pbp and color guys are going to shine up to the home team, but Ken (and to a lesser extent, imho, Mickey) are always pointing out highlights of the opponent team and players. And Ken and Mickey are pretty darned knowledgeable!! mildly offtopic , trying to be funny.
