I am criminal. Repeat offender, actually. I live within the city limits and there is an ordinance against burning leaves. I did it again today. I wheeled my portable fireplace out in the back yard and commenced to committing my crime. As I am defiantly breaking the law, a County Sheriff cruised slowly by. He must have saw my shovel and garden hose next to the crime scene, cuz he waved and kept driving. Either he doesn't give a crap about the burning ordinance, he likes the smell of yard waste on fire, or he recognized my safety-minded approach to crime.

Just got back from the game. How disappointing. I'd like to rag on Ozzie for a couple of beachballs, but I have to rag on the whole team more. They were really lethargic. Too much time off probably played a part, but the boys just didn't seem like they were very fired up. On a side note, there were some extremely drunk folks in front of us. Not obnoxious, but funny as hell.

I would. I would be with my team. I would be honoring the opponent my team just battled for the Cup. I would be thinking that my place is on the ice. To think otherwise would make me a childish, selfish attention *****. IMHO.

And my point still is: he chose the interview. Respect.

Well, well, well. Seems that the Hospital my wife works at offers some discount ticket deals. Got $38 tix for tonite's game for $25. Turns out that I can get up to 20 tix at a time. Hot-Diggity-Damn! Ozzie plays out of his mind. Wings D actually shows up and plays well in front of him. Lots of penalties. Wings win 5 - 2. And as usual, my voice will be wrecked. GO WINGS!!

Us oldtimers remember the minus button. But the world was a different place back in the day. People used to respect each other.

The only thing about the Pitts sweater is that it will be on the ice this January. What happened to parity in the league? Giving bottom feeders more of a chance to shine? Money/Pitts/Ratings love.

And this is my point. Back in the day, the game, the opponent you just defeated (in their own barn?), the playoff tradition of handshaking....all were more important than an interview, which can happen any time after honoring what just happened on the ice. Syndii didn't respect that.

You bet. I respect Hossa, but he does seem a little fragile. I don't want to wish injury evil on anyone, but let's see if the Hawks can tough out the injury bug like the Wings did last year.

This is where the thread veered off course. In this context, bringing up Syndii was pertinent. That type of behavior absolutely didn't happen in Rocket and Gordie's time. It's very easy for some folks to head toward left field when they feel so strongly about something. Not a crime, but as you pointed out, still off topic.

Sorry, getting over it is never gonna happen. I can't and will never respect a daisey that thinks ******* punching is considered proper etiquette in a fight. A grown man that wears the "C" and acts like a child deserves to be treated mercilessly. Doesn't matter if he is, in fact, a highly skilled player. ******-nozzles only go in 2 places. Respect that. OT...I'm older than a lot of you. The game has changed, just like the world has changed. There was much more respect for others back then. I'm not judging or complaining, just stating the truth as I have seen it.
