HOCKEY MATTERS

Mrs. Matters has to work on New Year's day, so I don't think NYE + me at a hockey game + her going to bed early for work = marital bliss. Haven't been to a NYE game in a very long time....it would be cool. Y'all that do go... have a safe and happy one!!

I should note that the RedWingNation_HeadQuarters gatherings are open to anyone. Bring friends, family, nieghbors...whoever. Everyone is welcome. Anybody up for a December gathering? Seems like Saturdays are when most folks can make it. We have met at Chelis' (Clinton Twp.), Buffalo Wild Wings (Mount Clemens, Shelby Twp., Fraser), and Champps before. Let's get a consensus on date and place. I will send a pm out soon to the "regulars". If anyone else wants a pm when these things get going, let me know. To steal a phrase...."let's f***in rage". Some of the posters here crack me up. It wouldn't matter if the Wings were highest in the league by 15 points, 12 game winning streak, lowest goals against, most short-handed goals for and leading in every other category....some folks would have their panties in a knot over something. Severe mental retardation, if you ask me. Seems like some here think their opinion matters to anyone other than themselves, and are willing to fight to be "right". I laugh. edit for topic....bert is playing as well as the other boneheads right now. they'll all quit being boneheads soon enough, but that won't stop the whiners!

So far it's looking like the 19th v. the Stars @3:00pm is in the lead....... Buffalo Wild Wings? Chelis'? What say, Y'all?

Not to mention that the Wings have a rash .... disallowed goals that was clearly should count.

I hated the shootout at first, but it can be very exciting (or depressing, depending on how the Wings do). I don't really care if they keep it. There are many more things that have watered the game down more than the shootout, imho. The point that some teams will merely play keep-away in overtime just to get to the SO stinks. I think a win should be 1 point...anything else is 0 points. That'll make em play like it matters.
