You missed my point. I wasn't telling you to go away. Or stop posting. Or stop complaining. I did go OT a little by not addressing your argument, because I happen to agree with it. But I didn't discard your argument. Been a Wings fan since the early 70's. I never claimed to be mature...just old. lol. Seems like it's merely a misunderstanding on our forum, yes?

nope. I meant you. You have options. It's not a perfect world, or a perfect game. It's gonna be what it's gonna be. So you could: *stop watching hockey, if it truly upsets you that much. *continue watching and complaining *continue watching and stop complaining. I should note, I'm not judging you for your opinion. Just saying that if it bugs you that much you could stop watching. I have done that in the past, because I just couldn't stand it anymore. My boycott has never lasted more than a game or two.LOL

SCF GAME 3 GDT: Red Wings 2 at Penguins 4
HOCKEY MATTERS replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Your English is fine, my foreign friend. Game one of 2 in their barn, on their ice, with that crowd? Pens were borderline goon in game 2, imho, so I think the Wings held back a little in the beginning to see how the Pens would play, and also to see how the zebras were going to blow (or who they were going to blow). Not really surprising for game 3 of the SCF if you ask me. -
SCF GAME 3 GDT: Red Wings 2 at Penguins 4

point, set, match. awesomer....that's exactly what it was. last night's game was exciting. it didn't go the way i wanted it to, but i was on the edge of my seat for most of it. if folks think that one loss in the SCF means that the Wings are done....well that's just sad. oh yee of little faith. -
Is anyone really surprised at the outcome? This kind of stuff has been going on for a very long time. Do you really think the refs can "make sure" the Pens hoist the cup? Going with that theory, didn't they try their best last year to hand it to Pitts? What was the result? The Wings can, have, and will rise above the 10 on 5 hockey that only ever happens to the Wings (this is sarcasm) as they have in the past. That's what make them the great team that they are. If the penalties are glaringly lopsided, say 6 Pens pp to Detroit's 2, you have an argument. It's not a perfect world. Or a perfect game. the Wings are making the Pens rely on the pp to even stay in the game. Without Datsyuk. Doesn't that say something to you? It's pretty unrealistic to expect that the Wings will have a perfect game with no bad calls and win 3-1 every game of every series. That would be boring and no one but Wings fans would be watching. Folks today seem rather spoiled. Like there's this sense of entitlement that the Wings should never face adversity. Myself, I think this is exciting hockey. I don't know for sure how it will turn out, but I hope the Wings come out on top. Hope and faith seem to be what a lot of Wings fans are lacking. Shut up and enjoy the roller coaster ride, for s***'s sake! Geez.

PS 2009 Stanley Cup Final Photoshop War: Pittsburgh Penguins
HOCKEY MATTERS replied to Matt's topic in Hall of Fame
Wings fans will not have to deal with getting booted for throwing seafood on the ice at P-burg. This monster launches multiple octopus bodies in several directions at once, then swee ....uhhh .... brooms up the octo-matter. This beast will take cuts in front of the Zamboni and cover the offending ice with tradition, then clean up after itself!- 740 replies

Have a local LGW get together in your area. Meeting folks from this site is just as awesome as being logged in. It's kinda the same....on a more personal level. Thanks Matt and mods. We are very fortunate.

Malkin's penalty rescinded (merged)
HOCKEY MATTERS replied to 10 Minute Misconduct's topic in General
Eh, so what. Except for the spear on Ozzie (which really didn't look like much) the Wings came out of this looking much better than the Pins. Z's handling of the "fight" Pwned Maklin...especially because Malcontent had to come in from behind. Ass punching, sticks and punches form behind......Penguins = natures *** birds? Refs were letting the Pins get away with murder, but anyone can see that the Wings clearly outclass them by their mature and respectable contributions to the scoreboard. My prediction: Pens are on a short leash for the first 6 - 8 minutes of game 3. When the Wings are up by a couple of goals, it's back to business as unusual. Pins = Wings *****. -

Church in the morning, finish up a plumbing job for inspection on Monday, and the RWNHQ (east) gathering for the game. I really wish I could, but I can't squeeze lunch in. Are you going to the game, Jacqui, or can you make it out to MT. Clemens? HM -
