The problem I see with that is you'd think these guys would be trying harder so that they aren't traded away. I don't know what is going on with the team right now, but it doesn't seem to me that the Mule and Hoss deal is the cause. It's something else, I think.

Does all the cussing make your opinion more "right"? C'mon guys. Why insult someone for thier opinion on the forum. Let's go back to the "old" days when people insulted each other in PM's. The cussing isn't really necessary, is it? BTW, y'all know that all the cussing is what made the board go down for 12 hours, right. The Hockey Gods had enough and exacted their electronic revenge.

All the possibilities above tie in together, I think. - Home ice can be a huge advantage, but a healthy team on a roll can get past that. - Fighting for the #1 seed could bring us a team that is riddled with injuries. It could also spark the fire that is required to win the cup. - A rested team may have the upper hand when it comes to the end....more gas in the tank. The Wings are in "that" place. They need to get worked up. Both goalies need to sharpen up. A lot. And quickly. The D has to tighten up. A lot. And quickly. All the passing needs to be more accurate. Now. Clearing the zone has to improve, especially on the PK. Speaking of the PK, the Wings need to put more pressure on the puck when it's in our end. (can't clear it if you don't have it) If any team can overcome all this adversity and prevail, it's the Wings. I don't think for a minute that all the other teams we play believe that, even though they have been struggling, the Wings are and easy win. I'm sure no one will feel "lucky" to play us in any round. Hopefully they have a good case of the redass from the 2 spankings they got and have the spark of determination that it takes for Stanley. I think they will prevail. I think it's going to be a gradual but steady increase in heat until the fire is roaring and the Wings are unbeatable. I think they have it in them and that it will come out. Back to back. For parity. For Bettman. Do it boys.

i get ya. it just seems like a lot of folks have sticks in their asses lately. a lot of flaming and name calling going on. a lot of people that have been here a while seem to have real short fuses lately. some of the thread titles have been pretty misleading too, whether intentional or not. just sayin.

you aren't kidding. Crymson should have been more clear in naming the title of the thread, imho. i think that's all 11&c was trying to say at first. someone poked him in the eye with a sharp stick and once blood was drawn folks dog-piled. 11&c shouldn't have started name calling and swearing, but others could have handled it much differently, too. i'm glad i mostly get ignored.

More hoping, I suppose. I'm hoping that the Wings got in the Sharks head last night. Hoping that their cage is rattled a little bit and they stumble some as a result. So I guess I'm predicting without any tangible evidence. Trying to throw a monkey wrench into their mojo. Messing up their psychic waves with a telepathic timebomb, if you will.

The Wings have already had their slump this season. They are, and will remain on fire. The Sharks on the other hand, are just heading into their slump. When it's all said and done, the Wings will be in front by 3 points and have home ice advantage.

This game could go off the hook in so very many ways. There are a lot of possibilities with Claudia. A big hit (a clean, open ice, bone crunching flattener?) could get the Sharks so fired up that there won't be any stopping them. Or they could take stupid retaliation penalties and bury themselves. The Sharks have not had a real slump to speak of yet this year. It begins tonite. Wings own.

The bolded is a pretty common stereotype. I have lived in the Detroit area my whole life and know the stereotype is common. I have also traveled to a lot of other states, including southern ones, including Tenessee. Life down south surely is different. People are not living life at a breakneck pace, knocking anyone and everyone out of their way to be first in line, first at the next red light (which by the way, no one is going to make it through anyway). They know their neighbors. They help their neighbors when they need it.They are not nearly as rude as northern folks. They certainly have more respect for others. They are more genteel in their manner, much less obnoxious and arrogant than northerners. If they see something that they disagree with , they are more likely to just observe and walk away, rather than feeling the entitlement to speak their mind, whether it's any of their business or not. Yes I like it down south. No I'm not moving down there (just yet....watching the economy). I choose to live in Michigan, for better or worse. No I don't care what you think. Why do people always have to have a comment? Are we all attention whores? Wearing our emotions on our sleeves? Better than everyone else? Egomaniacs with an inferiority complex? Let's look at some of those stereotypes, anyway.... No sister banging going on in Michigan (Detroit in particular)? Check the sex offender list in your neighborhood. Guns......yeah, there's no guns up here. right. Outside of the cities there are a ton of tractors. If yo ever went outside the city limits, you'd know Michigan has farms. A lot of farms. In the cities up here, there seem to be more foreign cars lately. Hmmmmm. Still toothless, just bought some dentures. Idiots? Look deep. Look hard.
