I love close games. These nerve racking pressure cookers are sweeeeet. The Wings have been winning most of them. I think that is wearing on opponents even more than blowouts. Imagine if you are the other team. This year you get to have the puck much more than in years past. The Wings D is giving up uncharacteristic turnovers and you think to yourself...man, we"re up by 2 goals going into the 3rd....only to be owned in the last 10 minutes of the game....and like so many other teams.....fail to get the W. Overtime and shootouts...I say gimme more! Close games are much more entertaining to me. Makes me swear at the TV, my blood pressure goes up and my neighbors know exactly how the game is going even if they don't have it on. I love close games. Moreso if the Wings win, of course. Seems the only people concerned about the Wings so far this season are select LGW posters. The rest of the world worries that the big Red monster is slowly, and at their liesure I might add, waking up. And it's more frightening than last year.

no fall-out here, unless it's near Margaritaville and you fall-out of bed in the afternoon. 10" + of snow and more on the way....yeah I'm thinking warm thoughts......

I'll take pirate treasure over Homer's.

Got "A"s in both classes I took. Kind of a shock....thought I would be lucky to get a "B" in computer networking. WOOHOOO!

If noone has said it yet, welcome to the board. I am glad to have opponents fans here discussing in a rational way....even if we disagree! SJ is a worthy opponent and I for one do not take them lightly. Good luck this season, although I hope the Wings win the cup.

I think it's great when fans of other teams come here and post in a sane manner. I also think it's great that we don't act like ass-monkeys when they show up...win or lose. Sharks are a class act and have some classy fans too.

handed them their asses on a platter. passes were crisp, no one out of position, defense was on the money, conks was real solid (not standing on his head....he didn't need to do that. the D was that good). Message sent loud and clear.

Stuuuuueeeey, stuuuuueeeeyyyy!

right now i'd say it's prolly a good idea for the boys to keep thier heads up.

Bettman said Avery's remark offended him as a parent.

I need to figure out how to use the block sender function. -
get rid of al sobatka. the 4th line has to take turns driving the Zamboni. plus it should only be a 2 minute penalty for swinging octopie around instead of the 10 billions dollar fine for al doing it. that should help.

so, is anyone who ever had sex more than once considered sloppy seconds? is there a time factor that removes one from the SL list? Just how long was it after Sean did the deed that Dion was the man. this whole time thing is bugging me, cuz i always thought sloppy seconds occurred seconds after the first.....while things were still "sloppy". -

I don't think most kids get their explainations of sexual terms from their parents.Peers, yes....parents, not so much. Especially a 12 year old girl. From her Daddy? Wait a minute....why is Buttman so concerned about the term "sloppy seconds"? Is there something he doesn't want his 12 year old "daughter" to know about that term.........i am so bad. -
on Groesbeck south of Cass, right in front of the new Meijer. mmmmmmmmsoooonic.

note: there is a Sonic going up about a mile from my house. people up here just don't know. i can't wait.

The Wings passing has been very weak a lot. Way out in front, behind so the forward man has to try and bring it up through his feet, and worst of all, s***ty passing in our zone causing the now unsurprising turn-over. Defense is a bunch of pylons that on too many occasions can't clear the zone on the pk, which may or not be part of the goals against total. Our lack of physical contact is annoying, too. If they're going to take bulls*** calls, at least take some that involve hits. (don't even go to the enforcer angle....that's not what i'm saying here). All star cast that can't seem to remember how to scratch thier butts. As fans we are frustrated as I'm sure the team is too. Yeah, something has got to happen to get the boys firing on all 6 cylinders. Maybe the loss to the Av's was enough. It may take them getting blown out though. I hope the turnaround happens soon. When they are playing well it's easier to stomach the Zebra attempt to influence the outcome.

what does it matter. why are we talking.
-
allright. this is really weird. i go to post a pic and the last post i made in another thread is submitted. sucks cuz our defense is not greater than miss piggy right now.
-
yep, defense is the problem. picture this....you go into work everyday and for 3 weeks the people responsible for getting the report on your desk fail. epic fail. you need the report to counter the competitions advance in your industry. epic fail for you. unemployed cuz your support team blows. yeah, folks are grumbling about how everyone is lazy and they suck, but you are out the door cuz they scored. not saying for a minute that it's NOT still up to ozzie to stop the puck, but how demoralizing to have yor support crew stand around with thier heads up thier ass, acting like pylons. that said....i hope they get it together before flying out west. edit: left a pretty important word out the first time
