I am glad the Wings are stuggling right now. They were sailing along completely untochable for a long time. this losing streak is building resolve. Is it any real surprise that the refs make it harder on Detroit? Look at all the teams that can say the beat the Wings lately. aaahaahaahaaaaaa. Thaaaat's right NHL opposition. Think that you have a chace of beating Detroit in the 1st round or any other round. Play right into the snare and listen to all the LGW posters squeal with delight as one by one, the fully resolved Red Wings become your maker in the playoffs! Wings are all gonna grow the glowing green eyes of Franzenstein and prevail! aaahaahaahaaaaa

I am not against good, clean hits but I compare this hit to Laperriere pushing Lids then throwing the gloves down. Why would you want to fight or for that matter, crush a player like lids? It's simple....goonery. The forearm came up because Laperriere wanted to do damage. He didn't have to hit like that. Downey stood up and pounded him, which should be expected. In round 2 I think the reason he got the extra 2 is because, from the way I saw it, Lappy was in the process of turtling and Downey popped him a couple times on the way down. At the end of the 2nd period flip got an elbow to the face....no call. In the 3rd we got a holding the stick call but from the brief replay, I saw no such infraction. I think the refs/NHL are trying to rekindle an old rivalry and the Wings are getting the short end of the stick as the result. Hats off to the Wings for maintaining the level of class that they have by buckling down and getting thier revenge on the scoreboard and not by becoming goons themselves.

AHA!!!! This explains it....you are the missing piece of the puzzle! You MUST watch or attend this game and save the Wings further embarassment. I am seriously superstitious...you must watch!

It disappoints me that FSN usually cuts away from fights, but thanks to "live" tv we got to see this little outburst. He's human. Seems to me I have seen Stevie Y drop an F bomb or two before.

I agree. I have been going to the Joe for a long time...it seems like every year the noise is waaaay too subdued. Me, I embarass people that go with me. I am very vocal. And loud. Glad you had a good time in our barn. Also glad you weren't abused in a negative way. Positive abuse rocks!

There are several threads (one active today) that tells how to watch on sopcast.

I have several thoughts to throw in the mix....not that anyone cares (or should care for that matter): A lot of the empty seats are from season ticket holders not opting to buy Playoff tix. Why? For one thing, one has to buy round 1 AND 2 at once. Can you say $5000.00 up front in advance? If the Wings got knocked out in the 1st round, the tix holder would get thier money for round 2 back in say....August/ September. Nice huh? With the last couple of 1st round exits, who can blame them? I buy into the media thing completely. It doesn't matter how much fan intrest there is (or is not) in hockey, the Detroit media has ignored the Wings since the lockout. I have no respect for that. I need no input from the evil media dogs that expect us to believe in thier lies and storybook myths about what we like. Who needs them. We have LGW...better coverage in a more than timely manner. A room full of geeks, freaks, fans, bandwaggoners, trolls, moosefarts, etc. I say again, who needs the media?

Did the feed crap out on sopcast for anyone else? It cut out on me just before Homers' goal. No 3rd period. I was bummed.

I know I have seen it somewhere on this board, but I can't find it now. Can anyone tell me how to hook into the internet streaming deal...is it sopcast? Don't have versus (sux) and can't get to a sports bar tonite. Thanks in advance for the help.
