Not true.. the ref has discretion over blowing the whistle if he believes the goalie has been stunned (see Kipper getting shot in the face by Zet). The goal would absolutely have counted wtih no complaints from the Wings.

Umm.. what??? Why are we so offended by a couple of slashes and cross checks? This is the NHL playoffs. Yes.. they were not "classy" tactics, but wow.. you'd think this was Bertuzzi on Moore. Franzen was never in danger.. it was a cheap hit, but not a full swing. Schneider got a little love tap on the leg. Nilson wanted to fight.. ohhhhh.. ban him for life. I don't condone the Flames actions.. but let's get real.. it was a far cry from a full fledged goon fest.

Lang is just awful. Just awful.

I'm not saying it just to get a reaction, but Lang looked LLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZYYYYYYYYY today. Just awful. Between him and Sammy, it's a nervous 45 seconds every time that second line hits the ice. Just awful.

I don't want to say it.. but here it goes: Lang... Iginla is Lazy and He Sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm.. I didn't know that. Maybe you should have told Lewis and Babcock.. could have led to some meaningful wins. Anyone else think it's funny that Lang cuts his inseams for comfort and mobility only to stand around and tell his coaches that he doesn't want to skate?

Haha.. I'm speechless. My post was a tongue-in-cheek reference to similar posts in the past.. particularly since he went a whole 4 games without scoring to start the season (read the sarcasm here). I didn't expect everyone to understand.. but the overreacts the other way are pretty pricelss as well. Anyway.. I'll stop wasting your time with "CANADIAN BURN OUT" type talk. As far as haters go.. I'm pretty soft. I let up on my hometown boy Willy when he continually coughed up costly goals to the Oilers last Spring.

Good catch BeeRYCE.. I threw it out as a random shout out to the humourous Lang bashing of yesteryears fully anticipating it would be locked.. but I got a few laughs out of it along the way.
