and this speaks volumes about the guy. the kid is so f* lazy that even Bobby Lang looks like a workhorse in comparison. you seriously wouldn't want him on Wings roster. can you spell: Alexandre Daigle?
-
this Holmgren wanted to replace their salaries with cheap youngster(s) picked high in the draft. now who of you, children, remember when did the Wings were within first 10 picks? anyone? yep... Marty Lapointe back in 1991 thank you! Holland will get our men, absolutely, but please remain realistic about Wings tradeable assets... Lang Devereaux Lilja Hudler and bag of pucks won't cut it
-
pretty unexpected but very welcome congrats Nick!
-
meh... is this the Lombardi guy you're reffering to?
-
I think it'd be great from him and for Oilers if this move takes place. guy's been a class act all his career and could be invaluable as mentor for all those younsters in Oilers system.

to be honest, I'd be embarassed if Wings went down like this, showing no heart...
-
Canucks are so bad right now, that it hurts to watch them...
-
oh come on... admit you're just another Sindy hater...
-
go Bruins! what a pleasure to watch Vancouver losing... despite all their whining. it is even that good to make up for staying awake overnight (it's 4.00 AM CET )...
-
please no!

point being: coin flip means uncorrelated random variables. and cup series games are everything but uncorrelated
-
does signing Reimer mean that this finally is this year* because it certainly sounds so if you read Maple Laughs fanboys * - the Leafs win the cup, for those who don't know the old joke

I most certainly hope for the Bolts to pull it. otherwise I'll have to pull for the Nucks, as I'm fed up with all that free calls Bruins get from the league... it's like watching 2007 Ducks again - escaping a murder and getting free whistles all the time...
-
don't see this coming. Kindl will get roster spot if Kenny doesn't fish a big name D-man in free market. but Smith... very un-Holland-like

youtube has uncensorred version of the "incident". I must say... this looks very much like a pair of really decent twins to me. I usually associate a good pair of properly sized twins as something motivational, rather than demotivational, though as for Nucks officials reactions - understandable to me. though anything further than "talk" with the lady to "ensure she's not gonna become repetitive offender" would be overkill - especially banning her from further entrance to the arena. as for her visual appeal... dunno... perhaps for NA standards she could be a pretty, but we have better in Europe  not in Netherlands though

congratulation to the Sharks, who at the end of the day were the better team, with as close margin as can get. and I sure as hell want them to eliminate the Canucks... great series, too bad our Wings couldn't advance...

Bolts. then Preds.

just to add and motivate other posters...

I don't, and am not sure about the general nature of your observation. truth being said, it's often difficult to find sympathy towards Canadian teams once their fanbases start proclaiming "this is the year" and keep yapping about whatever calls refs missed. Leafs fans used to be particularly brutal with this (every season between 1998-2005 they proclaimed Maple Laughs cup winners around mid-February), and now that they suck it's Nucks fans who do most of such stuff. I'm far from imputing this is any majority of fans, because most Nucks fans are nice and passionate ppl, but it's difficult to escape this hype. I can easily imagine other fans having similar feelings towards Wings hype in 2002 for example.

condolences to Ducks fans, but nevertheless huge kudos to Preds team. year after year they play well above what you'd expect from this limited budget. I'll most certainly be pulling for this team to beat the Canucks and, should the things go wrong, the Sharks.
-
I'll absolutely be rooting for Predators. thanks, Nucks, for eliminating NHL poster boys, but this should be it... Preds are better team than you. they actually arrive into playoffs with business to do, not with the loser mindset...
