let's start with the proper question first: is Hossa willing to stay with Wings if he does/does not win a cup? because I could see him staying if we lost but there's a fair chance he'll head for better money and more challenging environment once he tastes the glory. maybe not Edmonton. maybe not Pittsburgh as their fans and players (read: Talbot) clearly showed they're d!cks. but he could easily go for a team like St Louis or Carolina which seem to be headed in right direction next season and need quality scoring + experience.

let's look on the other side of the equation. this is a nice vote of confidence from Carlyle to his players: "guys, we have to complain and get calls because you're not getting it done otherwise". I didn't know Carlyle from this side and I certainly didn't expect Ducks people to complain about the calls, as their entire game plan is built upon it. they have no shame to expect the league to whistle Wings even more. with the way refs swallow the whistles with dirty Ducks and look so proactively for equalizing calls against the other team... that's cheap. very cheap. nobody who follows this league and has some brain will ever buy this "refs hurt Ducks" rant. never. ever.

I'd rather have Drapes than Helm in the lineup. simple reason being: 4. like 4 cups Drapes has in his resume. 4 cups he's been a huge part of. but it's good to be too rich in options and Helm has definitely been good these couple of playoff games.
