both nice. not fancy, slim, simple. I'd get rid of the arch in Blues logo but it's still OK despite.

they have plenty young talent to waste which is perfect environment for Burke. Brian will excell in selling Hawks best draft picks for has-beens and calling it "bringing the right elements". unfortunately, he's not gonna get free gifts now and Blackhawks would end up screwed just as Canucks, badly needing another lengthy rebuild period. Hawks could do this because they're used to being NHL worst for long periods and they shouldn't mind being f* by Brian. but that doesn't make much sense. truth being said I'd feel pity for them. this town deserves quality team finally. there are other teams which I'd rather see affected by Burke pest though, no one beats Anaheim and I'd gladly see their further downfall
-
that's it! and here's for further Burke's collapses.
-
make your choice I've got Leffe Blond and Bruin, Brugse Zot, Hoegaarden, Grimbergen Blond and Hoegardse Das. all of them way above this sewer s*** which is sold as beer by Dutch industry which can't even produce proper wheat beer - what they sell as "Weizen" tastes same (hence as s***ty) as their normal beer
-
I can imagine Burke has pissed so many other GM's that they simply played hard-ball with him and waived all trade proposal. hence the best GM in the NHL had no other option but to waive d-man he bribed from Wings screw him. hope Schneids comes back to LA and helps the club get into contention. and to kick Ducks asses severely, too here's a good Belgian beer for another miserable season of this excuse for a franchise

yeah, with salary cap to fit in I can see Lilja gone. I'm not sure if I quite all you wrote (it's almost midnight here and I had a long day...) but if the choice is mandatory and is between value vs. salary - Lilja can be chosen here. my point was he has some pluses which Babcock liked. we all used to bash him for defensive lapses but we also saw a lot of him playing PK in playoffs and he was mostly great in this position. I'd certainly be OK if there was a chance to keep him even if his ice time would be pretty limited. but under salary cap you can't have it all...
-
Lebda has a lot to give. he's rounded his game compared to last year and shown he can be dependable even if not spectacular. and we definitely are good with his speed. Quincey was fine in 2007 playoffs but somehow didn't get a good chance this season. I guess the team (Kenny, Babcock, ...) is not really sold on him as for Meech... he's worth keeping and been given a chance once in a while (*cough... during the usualpossible January/February wave of injuries ) Lilja stays. he has some nice skills to be used in this team and it's better to have known evil behind the blue line

Stevie Y in Ottawa makes sense. he'd get to work on his home soil. and the team badly needs breath of success. they had all the tools to win big prize but failed over and over again...
-
or this way around. though, NBC, CBS and TSN still fall short of Burke in this contest. Brian wins the "get the * out to Russia" ticket first. and not really challenged for me Crosby should be OK if he grows more adult than his coach which is likely to happen soon. I'm disgusted by media are doing with him but it's in fact not fair to blame Crosby for that.
-
Crosby and Burke so I could be free from media kissing their asses and shoving them in my mouth in every single moment there is some remote relation to them during broadcast... or when there's no relation and no reason to speak of them... if I had to chose, though, Brian wins by far extent. Crosby at least has some idea about ice hockey while anything Burke can is whine and use help of his pals among league officials

the thing is Crawford does not say explicitely "Bertuzzi ignored my orders". he only states that Bertuzzi stayed on the ice longer than what he as a coach would like him to. that's a huge difference. and the big thing here is these guys are pros and they understand to speak precisely in order to not get sued for lying. therefore you may very well much assume Crawford did not order Bertuzzi to get off the ice and he knows perfectly well his ass is not covered in this case. instead we had Canucks players being reviewed and saying there was atmosphere of head hunting in their locker room prior to the game. and you have perfect example of Crawfordism in the past - in Claude Lemieux going after Draper. and that's not even the worst of what Crawford is capable to. this guy is a moron and a goon-lover who always crossed the line of fair play. if anyone it's Crawford who should be sued by Moore for cutting short of his carreer. I'm not trying to say Bertuzzi is innocent here because he's guilty as hell and also pretty unlucky to have it ended this way. but the main responsibility is on the guy who ignited all this head-hunting and who created the sick atmosphere. and it's Crawford.
-
this guy has absolutely no shame. he was laughing his ass off when he saw Bertuzzi jumping on Moore and now he claims it was against his orders. Crawford should've been out of this league for years no. he's a disgrace to NHL
-
well... looking at Predators last playoffs I'd dare to say Radulov's been among their top players. sure they weren't exactly the most talented pack out there but they played quite competitive and with heart. and there's definitely lot to like about Radulov's play. he's no second coming of Howe or Gretzky but he has his market value and is definitely NHL quality player
-
very good point. some ppl in North America simply don't get the fact that European players get away from their home country and that European fans have right to be sore about not being able to watch their home-grown talent. because bloody NHL limits its broadcast to NA and as a European fan (and there are about as many hockey fans in Europe than in North America) you don't get much chance to see "your" players other than Sopcast which is mostly of crappy quality. let's just imagine Gretzky or Yzerman playing their careers in Russian league and ask Canadian people if they'd feel OK with this. and that about sums it up
-
yet another "everybody wants to sign in TO" king of rumour... except it isn't so because players who actualy have brains and not just deep pockets stay away from teams like Leafs or Hawks which always, independent on what Bettman does, manage to suck big time...
-
let's not forget that each trades has two sides. and that for those guys listed Burke had to give away a lot of young prospects drafted by Murray. prospects who in years to come will likely become better or much better than their replacements. Burke got huge number of young assets to trade. from Murray. yes he got players who eventually won the cup, to large extent because Bettman&Co. were licking Burke's ass and letting his team get away with murder on regular basis. I'm far from being extreme here but I pretty much remember vast talent pool that Burke inherited from Murray and the mess the Ducks team is now. that's a big difference and even if they won the cup, the price has been very steep. and I would really not be surprised if Burke jumped to Leafs and left sinking ship of Anaheim. just as he did with Canucks
-
does anyone know what exactly are we feeding our prospects that 9th round dead last draft pick is mentioned in the same line as other team's 1st round 1st overall picks? I do think he's pretty much overrated with this 8th spot but it still is quite amazing to see Wings fishing such gems in draft
-
Ericsson is to unexperienced now to hand him top 6 minutes. he could get top 6 job on most other NHL teams but this is Wings and standards are set higher. to get starter job he really needs to prove he can be dependable day and night. I like his chances but let's not get ahead of ourselves. those guys need to work very hard for roster spot with Wings. and you really don't get here for free

I absolutely love this Kashmir cover which runs in background. I just realized I have a full Led Zeppelin discography which needs to be grabbed to mp3. I've hooked up with hockey too late to remember Hextall clearly but he looks just like this type of player you hate playing against and absolutely love as team spirit guy if he's on your team
-
I don't really get the logic of this. sure Parrish was underperforming a lot since he left Panthers good number of years ago but getting rid of him and pay so much of his bill and making the team even weaker in scoring. that simply makes no sense to me
-
I only skipped through the video on TSN website. if you listened to this crap live and withstood so much utter blah-blah and didn't fell asleep I'm full of praise for your resilliance(sp). I had enough of this BS after first minute and only skipped quickly through the rest to see if maybe there's some boobies or whatever that justify such 12 minute "short" but yeah - sure it's big deal for Hawks. and sure NHL will be doing all it can to pretend they are real deal. they're are American team with good brand recognition and plenty of young talent to showcase. I'm pretty sure they'll manage to screw this potential up just as they used to for almost 20 years now. but Betman & Co. are desperately pretending it is not so and sell them to national audience. is that bad? I'm OK with this as long as it sells hockey and helps the league. \ that the Wings are portrayed as old and evil... guess if I care...

not necessarily. this may just be a change dictated by language rules, which most likely takes place if this is the case of declination of nouns and Latvian actually has declination of nouns. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latvian_language#Grammar

and traded away vast majority of Ducks assets and young talent. just check Ducks depth chart and look how many players were drafted by Anaheim. and those few valuable there were not by Burke. I'm not saying he's a bad GM but people tend to forget team development is not about making total sell-outs for a single shot at the cup. even if it was succesful for curious readers: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/roster/?team=Ana Getzlaf and Perry being the single two regular players in Ducks roster who have been drafted by the team. the rest is acquired by trades. which is pretty strange if you consider how high were Ducks picks in recent years Wings are pretty extreme counter example here: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/teams/roster/?team=Det yet, despite low picks the team has huge amount of "home" grown prospects. speaks something about GM-ing, huh?

I think many ppl here remember Fedorov leaving. or Bertuzzi. or Schneider. and they know what does this mean to feel screwed. especially Fedorov has been a painful case for Wings fans. so I do understand Pens fans perspective but I think some of them are overreacting. this is not a player who was a Pen for number of years. and while there was talk of him staying with the team there was no clear promises. I think it will settle down after some time. I see your point but I don't think this should lead to such hard feelings.

Red Wings To Play Blackhawks In Winter Classic
akustyk replied to RedWingsFanatic's topic in General
yeah... no kidding. that is also my guess. they may trade Crosby to Hawks for this one game to enable all the broadcast guys to orgasm over Sindy. and it would also give him a chance to... *cough* win the game in a... *cough* shutout
