Pavel owns Turco! :D
-
Morrow is OK. good for him
-
Morrow just took himself out of the game :D
-
Turco looked like he's having his pants full now
-
that'll do for refs trying to hand the game to Dallas on plate man, Turco is brutal in this series...
-
what does this mean? out off this game definitely?
-
geeeez.... Turco owned... way to go Huds!

I agree Wings need to come out with more energy but I beg to differ about Stars flying. I mean - yes, they were putting some effort but when it came down to fighting for pucks etc. it was all Wings. if the Stars want to win this game they need to keep on pushing not let go once they're stripped of the puck. there was a replay of Ribeiro skating slowly back into Dallas zone... pretty symbolic for Stars now
-
one year too late. but it's finally over
-
yeah, I'd also see him in the $3M range. he's been valuable for Preds but $4M+ a year is plenty of money which can buy star players. Erat is not that good.

I'm back from 3 day vacation in Germany and viewing replays of Game 2 and this incident. my take: 1. anyone claiming there should be two players suspended if anything (read: McKenzie, TSN) is nuts. sorry Scott, I know you're passionate hockey fan etc. but this is wrong. what Oz did is definitely frequent among goalies and yes it's tauting. I don't see it clearly going into Ribeiro's face as you're trying to picture. if there was suspension it would only be justified if it went on Ribeiro's account. 2. anyone claiming Oz is innocent is wrong. he did this move and he had his purpose. I can't see this being an intent to injure as some Stars ppl whine but it definitely counts as dangerous play. Oz should have gotten a fine for this and he got it. that's deserved 3. anyone claiming Ribeiro's swing was of no harm to Oz (again: McKenzie) is nuts. just get out, put this stuff on and see what's the difference between blunt hit (puck) and slashing hit (stick). I mean: you really don't have to know RPG games to understand the difference between various types of hits and respective protections. I played goal once and I felt the difference between puck landing on my balls protector and a stick getting there. clear difference. wish Pang had more balls to call McKenzie on that and call this a BS I'm OK with Campbell's ruling. in my book it's Ribeiro acting frustrated and without brain after being provoked by Oz. it's playoffs and he doesn't have rep for doing this so it's fine he escapes with fine here. what he leaves is a frustration mark and bad karma for Stars. that's better for me than giving the opposing team extra incentives to win because it misses key player (aka Pronger last year). this is gonna kick Stars in their butt and give Wings extra karma for Game 3.

who cares. let them whine as much as they want and all the way to June. I want them to understimate Wings and cry all possible excuses to other team. if this is the price of being engraved on the cup I'll take it. yes, I'm tired of those announcers trying to justify Wings wins by all possible reasons with the other team. the thing however is it's an extremely focused and disciplined Wings team with immense talent. and hunger. they are legit. they did beat Dallas because the Stars were tired and yes, those calls were brutal. but Wings didn't just got lucky. they fought hard to score those goals and be ahead in this game.
-
I'm fine with Stars or Pens/Flyers believing this excuses. they're bulls*** but I really don't care about this
-
very good stint by Sammy. I can't believe I'm typing it
-
but.... but... but... weren't they supposed to steamroll a laid-off Wings team that had to shake off the weekly rust?
-
Jesus, Versus is sooo pathetic. Dallas is getting their ass handed but versus keeps talking about how Morrow is great hitter... who the f* cares about that when they need 3 goals in 12 minutes to have a chance to win this?
-
yeah, no kidding. offside on PP in crucial moment of the game when the team might potentially have chance to get back into the game... but in the end it will be refs fault because it's them who's guilty of Dallas getting its ass handed
-
refs made some terrible decisions here but it's not their fault Wings were able to score 3 PP goals and Stars (with apparently best postseason PP%) none. or that Flip puts five hole on Turco. or that Ribeiro is putting no hustle and is outworked like a kid. or... honestly. Wings are playing focused and on top of their game. Stars, except for last 10 minutes were flat. you can't expect to win a game in god damned Conference Finals if you put so little effort into that
-
lucky goal but you can't say they haven't worked for it for a while and that our D was stellar here
-
Jesus, they're rolling. these are the Stars I want to watch
-
holy f*! that was lame and very Turco-ish  five hole
-
yes, it's him http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/players/2139 I remember him playing some good games with Lighting. he might also have played for Team Sweden in some international tournament but I'm unwilling to let my eyes off the game and torture Google about this
-
Johan Holmqvist he's not a bad goalie but swapping Turco for him that deep in playoffs would be a risky move
-
Jesus, they let Dallas escape with a blatant hooking and call one against Wings...
-
I don't see this coming. neither of this goal can be even remotely attributed to him. on top of that Tippets doesn't exactly have playoff quality goaltending behind Marty Turco. he could do this to shake the team up because they're putting too little effort and willingness to fight. but it would have to be like 5-0 and I don't see this happening. would be great but...
