so? Ellis is crappy with controling rebounds. and once he lets one the Wings can reach the puck in time to put it past Ellis.
-
good save by Hasek. althoughm he's again not in the position
-
honestly? I'm not refering to the score. s*** happens and you can go 2-0 with some bad luck and still win a game. the thing is it's not a bad luck. it was a big collapse of a team that was unable to start an attack in Preds zone or play organized defense in its own zone. a team that was losing battles for puck and severely missed heart and desire to win it. I certainly hope they'll not win this game if they continue playing like this. I want them to pick it up and get out with desire to win the game to show some quality hockey. they still can

nice. almost 3-0 way to f* go...

Jesus, I feel like I was following Edmonton series. and it feels like s***, honestly... I really hope this team recomposes and shows some quality hockey. they look like they're having s*** in their heads now and in need for some shake-up. for all Hasek lovers and against-the-reason-defenders: can you honestly tell me or anyone else this 2nd goal (or for the record - other 2nd goals in those four consecutive goose eggs) was unstoppable? thank you
-
4th time in 3 games that this team is letting 2 consecutive goals. this is f* disgusting. our D needs to get their asses moving and Hasek needs to stay sharp and not let any chance. Jesus, I want Oz in the net.

looks like NHL Radio for me, because CBC decided to not spare Canadian fans feeling ashamed of all-time Ottawa losers

nice soccer play by Vermette. I wonder if they let it count... it looks like he tried to play it towards the stick but was to close to the goal to make it happen and instead the puck landed in the net. that shouldn't count but Vermette really gets props for this action

Gerber 5-hole

they'll find a way to lose it anyway. they're the Blues of Eastern Conference

I really don't like the idea of this kid coming and getting NHL minutes without even going through AHL. he might have the tools to get it done but I just don't see Holland letting him play without a stint with Griffs where he gets used to American way of playing hockey. if the talent is worth that I'd love Wings to sign him. but I'm really, really in favor of putting him to play with Griffs at least for first 3-4 months of the regular season

I'd rather have a sweep if possible and give the guys 1-2 days of rest then return to regular drill. with Wings it's OK to get some rest - they have experience to not get too rusty and have problems with waking up. but they need to keep their healt at maximum if they were supposed to meet tougher teams down the road

jesus christ... give this guy a break. he just said it's better to look for those players who don't get well along with being hit. which is perfectly understandable. Wings do the same with Preds players except they don't talk about it. and honestly... as much as I used to hate Tootoo, this guy has picked it up this series and is one of Preds best players if not the best. he's agitating but at the same time keeping good eye on the other aspects of the game. he's scored 2 goals on us (sure it's luck but he worked for them too) is present on the ice and gives his team a legit minutes. unlike a number of their other players who just disappear. I sure would like one of our players to make him pay but not because the role Tootoo does but because of how important he is to his team's chances. at this moment he's their key player and one of the best. if not the best

I haven't been sold to those Flames because they severly lack talent up front and Phaneuf was until these playoffs a big no-show. he did pick up his game this year significantly and the team shows a lot of heart and push to win. I'd say I'm glad we downed Preds in that last season game and got them rather than tank it and get Flames. with all respect to Preds they look mostly flat against us. and Flames do look serious even despite their shortage on scoring power. unfortunately, this looks like we might draw them in second round. maybe it's not a bad choice but I'm leaning towards wanting Wings to play Stars or Dives.

I'd say signing Mac for Griffs contract when it comes to Wings organization as for the NHL in general - Winter Classic. required huge composure to not puke after hearing "Crosby" every single 5 seconds but the game itself was special. something to remember for many years
-
that's pretty bold statement for a Wings fan, at least if one's memory serves back to 2002
-
so? he signs his first NHL contract for low money because as a rookie he can't get more. so the choice for him here is to go where he has a chance to play. thus he goes to a team with crappy offense and gets an excellent opportunity to showcase his skills and raise eyebrows of other GMs. after 2 years of rookie contract he signs with a quality team for some bold money. see? it's simple honestly... if he wants playing minutes Canucks are the team to go. if he wants money he has to showcase himself on American rink. crappy teams are best for this and Canucks qualify in this category I don't blame him. this isn't a bad way to start NHL career

don't jinx it! I know it's not this bloody "shutout" word but I'd still not mess up with lady Fortune.

as for Preds first nogoal today - there's video analysis at TSN where they make some valid points. this actually looks like it could've been a legit goal but the ref was too fast with his judgment and should've rather send it for review. this could surely change the game. but again - I don't see Preds winning it then anyway
-
and the call on Stuart for skating alongside falling Radulov then again - we're not talking here of calls having immediate impact on goals. which does make a difference IMHO, Trotz has some right here. but is not doing well about voicing it. he gives his players a pat in the back when they actually deserve some bashing. they made a lot of lapses today and were way too often outmuscled to the pucks. Trotz should not be giving excuses and let his players think it's OK to make mistakes

262 is the right answer it's 14 left (at least) yeah, I'm all for that. it's great to see youngsters like him get their sip from the cup
-
I loved Datsyuk today. too bad Flip was a little bit unlucky because Dats basically gave him two legit shots on goal. but that was incredible what I like the most is that all of them D, Z and H are not shy from physical contact and Pavel is quite often on the giving side. they've been excellent against Arnott. the series moves to Nashville and Trotz will have an opportunity to free his 1st line of ZDH shadow. we'll see how our other lines succeed in closing this line. ZDH were outstanding

not sure about Stars but I sure hope they win. Marty Turco will eventually find a way to blow his team's chances but I'd love this to happen after Stars eliminate dirty Ducks. as for the other game... not a big fan of Habs but they just seem too much for Bruins.
