technically speaking this matchup is not possible it's either Ducks/Stars or Wings should Flames advance to second

honestly... expect no love should this happen but I'm definitely pulling for such series that would be our "Back to the future" but could be an outstanding series even more that it'd mean Ducks/Stars having to play Sharks. which is another dream come true

new TSN has a lot of space to deploy panels with news, articles or just links. it doesn't occupy much more screen but has gotten a lot of room. their graphical design is pretty boring and lacks some push. the old version was a little bit more sophisticated and much more visually appealing. although, I believe they'll be going towards reorganization of information and will soon fill new canvas with a lot of handy information. this should be only better as for NHL... it's not a bad website but is a little bit too clumsy to navigate and there's just too much information packed on front page. it's not necessarily useful but occupies a lot of space. the visual appeal however is bigger than new TSN to me

I'm not gonna go that low to root for a team that has no scoring depth, tends to goon it up as soon (or sooner) as it sees it's being spanked, including it's very captain. or which has guys who punch other team's players after getting hit at the boards. seriously, not in hell. though, I'd certainly be glad if they were assholes in this series and properly manhandled Sharks. I'd rather not play these goons again should the Wings advance to Round 2 but if they add woes to Sharks and do something towards their further elimination... I'm definitely all for that. if anything I'll be cheering any bloodbath by this teams and welcome any injuries. not to with this to any particular players but whatever makes whichever of those two squads weaker is welcome by me. unfortunately one has to advance and I'd rather point to Sharks who at least have some skill other than in captain and goalie (I don't count overhyped defensemen who disappear in playoffs other than some casual bodychecks).

1. Rangers. they are actually not an underdog here but occupy the 5th spot so are stripped of the home ice advantage. yet, they stand a great chance of beating Devils. 2. Philly. hate to admit that but as much as I admire the team that Caps have become, Phily stand a right chance of beating them 3. Dives. nevermind how they suck in regular season they seem to find the way to win in playoffs. I'm not sold on Floppa hype because he's not his old self but with a team pretty flat on talent he's still a significant help. and he knows what playoffs are about 4. Dallas. I know the hype surrounding *ucks, I know Marty Turco's been everyhing but playoff goalie, but... they still seem likely to win this to me 5. Flames. they match up well against Sharks. and Sharks seem to be the new reincarnation of Blues - they come in but never come it's not that Flames were a good team because they're extremely weak in scoring and have so-so defense with Phaneuf who in playoffs does by far not live up to the hype... then again... Sharks used to have everything in the past and still manage to blow it. 6. Predators. they're motivated and play without pressure. if they outwork us they stand a chance of winning this series. it's not likely to me but can happen I really don't see Bruins nor Sens pulling an upset. especially Sens. they're such a mess right now...

that's definitely my call, too. I'd also say Kipper and Price are a bit low while Fleury is a bit too high. seems like an inconsistent ranking. on the one side Brodeur seems to be rated high because of his playoff performances. similar story with Marty Turco, though, in this case it's low rank because of playoffs. then Fleury who's been a playoff non-show is high because he run hot at the end of the season. I don't think Dom&Oz tandem is that bad as some ppl predict but I'd still not put them that high on the list. #8 or lower would be a right spot.

the news is great but I'd rather see Wings ignore Tootoo. that is: watch out where this little bi* is and don't let him injure anyone. but don't let this little brat think his on-ice antics concern the Wings and take them off from their gameplan. that would force Trotz to look for different strategy. and frankly, other than by gooning and making it nasty those Preds will really have it difficult. skillwise there's a big gap between those two teams and if it's not for gooning it up, there's not much Preds can try to beat the Wings. hence, I'd rather take this strategy from them

I guess you're too young to remember why he was called Don VanCouver. that would be the very 2002 Playoffs Round 1 and Don VanCouver doing wonders to save Burke's butt though, other than that infamous series he haven't had a lot s***ty calls

D-men are not a problem with Wings. it's scoring. we need quality reinforcements to our 2nd line. someone big, skilled and smart. I can live without Campbell if the money was spent well for some skilled forward with good team spirit and leadership

I would like Babcock to give Lebda a try in one of Wings home games. just to give him a go. Lebda was brutal last playoffs but he has some potential and it might be worth to give him a chance. other than that is Lilja, hands down.

Senators are a mess and if Caps did not run out of gas they'll steamroll Ottawa in 4-5 games. no, they're not a flat team. they have some decent talent other than AO and they have coach who made those youngsters a team. a team that plays with heart and balls. contrary to what some people think, Capitals are for real. they have strong offence, solid defense and goaltending from Huet who seems to be really hot coming into playoffs. honestly, do some of you really think the Blues of the East who are now a big mess without leadership, without vision and without faith - does this Senators look legit? sorry, they don't. if the season took 2 more weeks they'de be gone off the playoff picture

Hudler is still able to do some decent moves. if he's not paired against physical lines he might be of big help to this team that desperately needs scoring depth. Hudler at least can generate some offence
