I prefer Yahoo for that: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/boxscore?gid=2007121027

for sopcast users: sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/38611 it's working EDIT: sorry for the above. "working" is pretty bold term for that slideshow
-
it's f..d. try typing 38611 in sopcast address field. although it says "channel off" on mine PC
-
double post. sorry

I meant last year's playoff and IMHO he played a very solid campaign last time. he hasn't been an impact player but very solid and providing good offence. it doesn't make sense for a rental player. but in a trade that lands us quality scorer for long term... why not?
-
Hudler is faring great so far this season. but the real value of a player is assessed in playoffs. he's been good last year but whether he's the impact player we all want him to be - that remains to be seen. should he not live up to the potential, he's definitely a trade bait. Hasek is an impact player. he may play s***ty in the regular season at times, but come playoffs he's the ultimate warrior. and that's the big picture
-
maybe its about quality not quantity? or just about the role goalie played in these games and not by the number of pucks directed at him? I'd rather give such award to Hasek saving 10-15 crucial shots than Giguere with 50+ a game where none of it is of actual difficulty to him. my 0.02 EUR
-
yeah, Shanny '97 would be huge other than him... Slava Kozlov or Marty Lapointe. probably Marty as he was more developed at that time and had more physical edge
-
Sopcast was working for some time, but then the guy up there switched broadcast to Rangers and that'd be it. not that the video quality was overly good
-
not neccesarilly. the legality of watching this stream may depend on the local law.
-
have to disagree. I listened to Ken Kal for some 6-7 years over the internet, then got Sopcast. radio is huge but live video is when you feel the game. TV wins it hands down even a lagging TV (as if NHL live radio wasn't 1-2 minutes late usually)
-
didn't I tell you before, it's been Crawford who holds a lot of responsibility for Moore incident? guys like him, Keenan, Ruff and obviously anyone employed by Bobby Clarke are all prone to unleashing goonery and doing crap. and I'm all for the league holding them accountable for crap they may initiate. and why not?

so, we have NHL first fu* it up with expansion dragging it to 30 teams in places where hockey need significant money pumping only to survive (and I don't even dare to say flourish(sp)). then Gary's f* it up with dumb schedule which was supposed (again!) to lift those new teams at the expense of those franchises which have established link to fans and good economical background. nice, really nice. so we have the NHL being smart with guarding business of such hockey-traditional sites like Phoenix or Nashville and rightly screwing PPL north of Chi-town who know sh* about this game, huh? or was it the other way around?
-
I guess European player here means: one who excelled in NHL. which is not necesarilly always been the case. my answer: 1. Igor Larionov. and I feel pretty ashamed to see only 2 ppl listing him in top 10. this guy in his primes was Whine Gretzky of CCCP which had outstanding crop of players.
-
as usual, I say no to thread #1092798325 with question whether Wings should pick a guy way past his primes and looking more like heading for retirement than for a hockey game. could we stop this, please?
-
except that 1973-76 was a mix of guys who were tough and could fight. 2007 Philly is just goons who put all the effort into cheapshots and headhuntung that's not hockey no, I'd absolutely hate to see Wings going that low. fortunately, this ain't gonna happen now and for some time, at least there's always Nashville and Philly. pick one and you're fine.

Sundin is a Leaf. period. as much as I'd love to see a player of his leadership and his ability to drag whole team with his sheer will... it's just not right. it's like Ray Bourque leaving Boston. wrong. just wrong I'm for him staying in Toronto. yes, I'd absolutely love my Wings to have him, but Sundin is a Maple Leaf. period

Blake is old, dirty and overrated no thanks

absolutely fantastic!

Sweden might withdraw from Player Transfer Agreement
akustyk replied to FinRedWing's topic in General
then take it because Buttman may as well expand the league with another couple of US teams -
Sweden might withdraw from Player Transfer Agreement
akustyk replied to FinRedWing's topic in General
so where is this "greedy Swedes" bashing etc.? why everybody was bashing Russia when it refused to sign agreement and with Sweden there's no longer any chat of di*holes, etc.? I totally agree with them. even more now that Buttman is talking of withdrawing NHL players from Olympics. seriously, who can blame Russians or Swedes for this situation if their national audience is no longer able to watch home grown talent except for 1:00 AM games at Sopcast? anyone? about time to show some middle finger to NHL which drains the talent from Europe and refuses to let it go even to Winter Games. I'm fully expecting to see Czechs and Finns doing similar thing. or for once Buttman recognizes Europe is not just a playschool to shop young talent but is as much hockey-frenzy as Canada/US. well... with US it's not that difficult. kids in european hockey countries know more about NHL teams than usual American -
do you mean the very same whiny "TSN is licking my ass" Brian who cried a river about Kevin Lowe trying to fetch Lupul(?) and "how some GM's inflate player contracts with so much effort put into new CBA"? double standards, Brian, right?

Four games, four bad pinches, four goals against for Lilja
akustyk replied to 40#1Fan's topic in General
Lilly isn't flashy but when it comes to important hockey he steps up and is decent. that he makes mistakes? oh my... if Kronwall and especially Lebda (and Lang is lazy and he sucks for the record) were free of mistakes the Wings could've had won the cup in June. EDIT: oh yeah... the shortage of LGW posters memory. same people who screamed The Pain Train when Lilly was rocking in playoffs... now they're back to usual bashing... oh, the double standards... -
except that Downie skated at whole speed and jumped at McAmmond like a monkey, trying to ram McAmmond's head into the boards...

7-2 in a game and restoring to such crap? never liked Flyers nor held a good opinion of but they're reaching new depths of their dorkness. f* bunch of skilless goons
