possibly. but this is team's perspective. do I, as a hockey fan, have to like it? do I have to root for my team to do damage to the other in order to win? the answer is: no, I'm not. I want to see my team beat Flames with skill, teamwork and heart rather than go with s*** like knee-hunting etc. yes, I understand the role of such play in hockey and I sure can see the logic behind that. but I don't feel like I wanted to cheer for this. which is the difference here, I guess. I am not gonna be rooting for old-man Chelli or anyone to go for Regehr. in my definition of being a hockey fan there is 99% of place for rooting for my team, and 1% for being against the other team. simple like that possibly because we rather prefer skillful quality hockey not crappy fouling and banging. and we are fortunate to enjoy Red Wings team actually having skill and not being a bunch of goons. and which already 3 Cups not being a gang of bashers. that's the difference here. that Wings fans got the chance and enjoyed quality hockey with skill and want to see this rather than pure banging.

so... when is this crazy little piece of fur picking playoff series winners? and yeah, I mean it seriously. I'd most certainly want to know if my Red Wings are supposed to get past round 1.

too bad, because Hawks, as usual, will waste any assets they get. under current management this team is a disaster and it will continue to ruin player careers, which for youngsters means a bad start to the career (just when they are supposed to start well). whatever...

Im going with Thrashers to sweep the Rags. crazy as it sounds I can see this coming through other than that Buffalo sweeping Isles is pressumably the most likely of all series, but I'd still not go with such pick. Pens vs Sens could happen, too, if Emery blows big time in Game 1. but again... not very likely, IMHO

I don't wat Iggy to perform well against Wings, because Flames quality is pretty proportional to his level of play. but hey, if it was not for the Wings, he'd be my absolute favorite. he's an ultimate power forward and one of the best if not the best in this league

Islanders deserved this 8th spot much more than Leafs and most certainly than those pathetic Habs. sorry Sabres, no free lunch this time. not that Isles were overly great chalange, but they at least have some defence and some heart. and if DiPietro is back it'll be tougher to beat them
