Hudler isn't tough nor bug but he can play with teeth. if you watched Philly game where Wings were gooned endlessly, Jiri was quite fine despite his small frame. I hope he stays. he's been good on that 4th line with Flip my money goes for Langfeld as the odd man out. but this assuming Franzen goes on their line to add some bulk to this combination

I like the idea of Bertuzzi on Zetterberg/Datsyuk line. this would make the kids very effective in playoffs. Bertuzzi creates room, Dats and Z shine with their skills. Lang gets Calder (new face) and keeps Cleary. so it goes: Datsyuk - Zet - Bertuzzi Calder - Lang - Cleary Maltby - Draper - Homer Flip - Hudler - Franzenstein/Sammy

I'm in the camp of people who feel odd about this trade. he sure adds a lot to the team, but as a hockey fan and Red Wings franchise in general, I feel rather bad about seeing him with Winged Wheel. about the last player I wanted to put this sweater on his back. only Claude Lemieux is worse the trade is a master-piece, though and with some luck we can have a huge and cheap force in playoffs

I read about 8 GM's in favor of and Buttman refusing to give his nod to simply approve this. I'm not gonna argue on that, though

Holland made two pretty smart moves. didn't give up a lot and brought players who could provide a spark to this team and fit exactly where we were weak. I like this a lot

Buttman is not even representing the owners. he's f* passive when majority of them tries to force schedule changes, effectivly keeping this s***ty current format just as 6 or 8 out of 30 GM prefer.

definitely. they got draft pick which can be thrown for a Guerin trade, pressumably. Buffalo is depleted but cup-poised this year. there's no logic in getting picks for them

the only team that comes to my mind is Maple Leafs, with Raycroft having a tough season so far, and the team being in playoff picture. other than that? maybe Tampa but that's a long shot EDIT: Habs? yeah, it's desperation, but is possible, too

good call! Lang is about the only asset we can move to get Jokinen. assuming Panthers are not sold on Lilja of course, but this is pretty clear to me
