I agree. I really like his announcing style...... I grew up with him announcing EA NHL games, and then when I finally realized he was on CBC doing Canucks games (and other Canadian playoff games), i was shocked that he actually announced REAL NHL games...... heh. but yeah, I agree. Jim Hughson rocks. I also like Gary Thorne's voice a lot for announcing hockey, but i generally think he's an idiot, for the most part. I love Ken and Mick, and i HATE Murphy......... I'm just glad FSN Detroit doesn't call him "Hall-of-Famer" Larry Murphy anymore, at least they don't do it ALL the freakin time anymore... so annoying

despite what i said in my previous post.... at least you can look on the bright side, and your ridiculously expensive tickets almost got you TWO whole games worth of exciting hockey in one night! that being said, it would have been better if the WINGS got some powerplays in OT....

when Rafalski scores, when I was watching it i KNEW it was the Cup winner.... there was so much excitement in the arena, and even from "Doc", who doesn't really like when the Red Wings score on teh Penguins..... winning at home would have been so much more fitting. i wish it was at home cuz there'd be more celebrating, and not just SILENCE at Mellon Arena ...... meh, what's done is done, i suppose

I agree 100%. As a goalie, if you leave the crease, you should be just as susceptible as any other player on the ice to get checked if you ahve the puck. A simple solution for the goalie.... DON'T LEAVE THE CREASE if you don't want to get nailed, or just be smart about it. This would add so much to the game... it really makes me angry that goalies get special privileges when they leave their OWN special crease area.... what's the crease for?!

does anyone remember that one Wings game @ Chicago..... I think it was 2 years ago, when the Wings scored a goal, and the GOAL HORN at the United Center in CHICAGO - HOME OF THE BLACKHAWKS went off?! haha .... it was hilarious.... i'm not sure if it was the same game as the one where we came from behind at the very end of the 3rd period, and pavel datsyuk scored a GWG with like 0.4 seconds left in Overtime..... ahhh the good ole days
