someone on letsgoblues (i know...can't believe i went there), posted that Draper and Samuelsson were out tonight.. i know Draper was meant to not play tonight, but i've seen no source for Sammy being out. Anyone heard anything. would seem a bit strange if both didn't play though, since Hartigan's back in Grand Rapids now, wouldn't that mean we'd be playing with one forward short?

i would say that the new CBA including the schedule changes, the cap, the euro draft rule has harmed the Wings more than ANY other team in the NHL. i'm fed up with Bettman using us to buck up the western franshises, we need the NHL to start helping US now, and whats the betting they'll do a big load of f*** all.

problem is when Fernandez and Thomas come back he'll be going down to Providence faster than you can skin a cat

Just one thing i'm wondering seeing the current movement of wings prospects - no talking GR here but elsewhere.. now back in Sweden we see Dick Axelsson playing good minutes for a top tier team in Djurgarden, and that happens to be the team Ryno joins on his return. Daniel Larsson is also playing for them.. but i'm mainly meaning the OHL. in the last week two high rated signed Detroit prospects have been traded from poor teams to strong title contenders. Cory Emmerton from Kingston to Brampton and now Jan Mursak from Saginaw to Belleville. While obviously this has decided advantages for the OHL teams for whatever reason, do the Wings have any say in this, since they're signed prospects? They've both gone from last place teams to contending teams, which i think can only help their development. Or do the Wings have no input?
