the one thing i don't mind about this is that Franzen will go to the Cleary/Malts line and Rex might finally get some decent minutes. still sucks to lose drapes though.. i imagine our PK will take a hit.

funnily enough though Gorge James Malik is about the most interesting of the Wings writers, even though he's technically a "blogger".. he writes the occasional article for A2Y and it's always an interesting read. his stuff's a hell of a lot more interesting than the usual manufactured crap the beat writers publish, almost word for word with each other. -
i agree with all. ZDH has stopped being effective for the time being. Split them up. i think Franzen needs to drop to the 3rd line. He's just not been effective this season. I'd go with: Hudler - Datsyuk - Homer Flip - Z - Sammy Franzen - Drapes - Cleary Maltby - Kopecky - Drake/Ellis/Downey.

Sammys out tonight so it looks like a Flip, Mule, Rex 2nd line. So... Wings 5-1 Hudler (3), Z (2) i think Downey will be in tonight, not Ellis. St Louis can fight so i think maybe Babs will want to back that up.

goals don't make great hockey games. Great hockey games make great hockey games... the amount of poor high scoring games i've seen. The best game i saw the whole of last year was the Wings - Devils game, and that was what 2-1 final? i saw the LA / Dallas 6-5 game the other night, and while being a great comeback, it was a classic example of one team playing terrible hockey, and then the other team going to sleep. It wasn't a good hockey game.
