yeah, that DRW02 guy was exactly the same, only he was as Anti-Yzerman as Yzer19 is pro Yzerman... it could easily be the same guy, just a new "troll" strategy from him.... hopefully after we start the season 10-0 he'll get bored of it..

you think the Wings would have won cups the last two years if Babcock had let veterans do their own thing? are you really that misguided? and Anaheim didn't fire him. They just didn't renew his contract, which was his decision as much as theirs. They wanted to give him a 1 year deal, Babcock wanted more security. And their winning a cup had nothing to do with losing Babcock. Babcock got a really bad Anaheim team to the finals in 2003. I'd say anyone could coach a team to the cup when they've got 2 of the 3 best defensemen in the game in the last 10 years on the same side.

i utterly disagree with that. a lot of the "veterans" had got lazy under Lewis. Babcock did exactly what he needed to do

i guess i agree. Last year he played a lot, but we had a definite top 7 there and didn't have the kind of fight between Sopel, Meech, Cullimore, etc that we have this year. i'm backing GR for the Calder cup this year anyway on the strength of their defense and goaltending.. they don't have the offense of the Hudler, Flipulla, Kopecky years but the defense is much much better..

well, Belanger already gone, and Gleason was never worth much anyway.. also Oleg Turnoverdovsky went to the Kings as well, as a salary dump and now he's gone to Russia, the kings don't have to worry about it. 100% Kings win
