well, personally it goes: Red Wings Tigers ... ... since i hate/deteste/have no interest in "football" or basketball.. if i did get interested in those sports, which i'm sure i wouldn't because i hate the mentality of the "celebrity" culture in them, i'm sure i wouldn't be supporting the Detroit teams... being from half a world away, i get to have thjat luxury of choosing what teams in another country i support. i can't give an oppion on Detroit or Michigan, having never been there, but i'd guess as with most of the us, "football" (rugby with protection), and then baseball rules all.

how can you possibly know that? Hamilton's AHL crowds are less than stellar, and it's way close to Toronto... there's absolutely no guarantee of success.

How many games did he play in the playoffs? 5...atoi 3:49.. how many did Laraque play? 2...atoi 4:24 Darcy Hordichuk? 2...atoi 3:37 Colton Orr? 4...atoi 4:57 Andrew Peters?....0... if an enforcer isn't needed in the playoffs...WHY? do we need one in the RS... would an enforcer have stopped Zetterberg doing his back in? would an enforcer have stopped Kopecky shattering his collarbone? would an enforcer been able to stop Samuelsson breaking his foot TWICE? no... we just don't need one

potentially, yes... but the fact that almost 1/2 those games come at the end of the season tells me we could be in a hole early on, and might not be able to close the gap on the #1 team...especially since we've got 2 road trips in the 1st month of the season

you can't not, although i wish our forward propects such as Helm, Emmerton, Mursak, etc were a couple of years further on in their development

i wouldn't say that personally yet.. although i'm not willing to say he sucks untill i've actually seen him play a game for us... if he's a -4 on 7 minutes of ice time, then i'll probably confirm that he sucks, but hey....we spent the last 2 years hating Lilja, and now we don't...well most of us...

i don't see him being a Cleary. Cleary was brought in because we were in cap trouble after the lockout, he was cheap and we had a lack of fowards.. we're not in cap trouble anymore, and we don't have a lack of defensemen.. if you count quality prospects as well we've got: Lidstrom Rafalski Kronwall Lilja Lebda Chelios Quincy Meech Ericsson Kindl... we're certainly not short on depth. I can only see Ference being in GR, unless he was hired SPECIFICALLY to be the #7 D, which i just don't see because it was reported that Holland was still trying to sing Markov after we signed Ference. just my take on it

when we traded for Bertuzzi the board crashed. it came back up with about 15 "wings get bertuzzi" threads all created by different people at the same time.. who'd have guessed after all that excitment the guy would be such a waste of a roster spot

i got nothing against JR... i always liked him, but he's way past his prime now and his last two seasons have been appalling.. i would think most teams would prefer to bring up a minimum wage prospect rather than have JR in the line up. They'd certainly get more out of it in the long run. say we had a 4th line spot open...would you bring up Helm, or sign JR?
