we've got a very old defensive core. Lidstrom is past his peak, it's becoming evident, Schneider been poor this year and Chelios is 45 friggin years old. Markov's no spring chicken either. Lebda will never be a top 4 NHL defenseman and Kronwalls been inconsistent. We need to start seeing if Ericsson, Quincy, Meech, Kindl etc are going to make it, or we'll find our selves up s*** creek with out a paddle very soon. i know he's in the OHL which is "junior" hockey, but everyone in KItchener see's his potential. He's a leader for that team and the OHL is a damn good league no matter if it's junior hockey or not. I just want to see them get a chance and signing past-it veterans isn't helping.

we've got a certain prospect, called Jacub Kindl who could be as good as Schneider now, would cost a hell of a lot less and could be a great. he should be on the Wings next year, and i think he should replace Schneider. He can play the PP point, is nicely physical, etc.. his upside is better than Schneiders, by far

Hasek's been fine.. problem has been a lack of any offensive and defensive zone turnovers, it's looking like the start of the season again

i'm really fearing that he's done for the season. a lot of the time if you've got "swelling", it hides the main problem. If the swellings gone down and he still can't skate he could have a prolaped disc or something, which will mean he'll be out a long time

just wondering what you think next years D is going to look like.. considering we know we have Lidstrom Kronwall Lebda Lilja and then Quincy Meech Ericsson Kindl in the system.. any of those guys stand a chance of coming up, or we well resign Chelios, Schneider or Markov personally i'd like a top 7 to look like Lidstrom - Kronwall Chelios - Kindl Lebda - Qunicy 7th Lija (or Ericsson if we can get rid of Lilja) that'll free up a lot of space that we can use to resign Datsyuk and Bertuzzi (if wishes were horses). Or should we go after a UFA. I'm not too up on the Wings prospects since i never see any games being over the other side of the pond.

Kindl is such an offensive D-man that i don't see him on the Wings next year if Schneider is still here. With Lidstrom, Kronwall, Kindl, Lebda and Schneider in the line up i would SERIOUSLY worry about our defenses ability to actually defend btw Kindl has 1 goal and 2 asssits last night for Kitchener - 53 points in 52 games and +22
