are there any draftable players this year that will be able to jump straight to a NHL 1st/2nd line a la Crosby or Ove? i think if they draft well they'll be good in 3/4 years, but not serious contenders before then.

OH FOR f***S SAKE.. look were in the playoffs already...we're not going to f*** it up, we only need a few more wins to be guaranteed. whats the harm in trying it, it's obvious that whats happening at the moment isn't working. Hudlers got probably the best shot on the whole team. GIVE HIM A CHANCE!

i'm at the point of letting go of this season... just concentrate on resigning Datsyuk, Markov, Hasek and Chelios and pick up some grit UFA's... we need major moves to advance in the playoffs, and we're not going to get that without selling the farm, and it just isn;t worth it. Were not going anywhere with 1 line and no grid, and we're not going to be able to offload Lang or Williams. AS much as i like the skill of european players, we need some good old fashioned north american grit in our team.

time to implode the 2nd line... put Franzen, Flip and Hudler on the 2nd line Draper, Maltby, Ellis 3rd Williams, Lang, Langfeld 4th - give em like 2 seconds a game i'm SO SICK TO DEATH OF THAT LINE

i'd like the presidents trophy because lets be honest, it's the only trophy were going to win. were either going to be #1 seed or #4 seed. #1 seed we get Edmonton, Minnesota, Calgary or Vancouver...NO THANKS...i think we only really stand a chance against Minnesota there. #4 seed and we get either Anaheim (lose), San Jose (swept) or Dallas (maybe)... either way were screwed...we're the easiest team to beat in the top 9 in the west.
