hey, don't get me wrong. The Preds are a damn good team, and i throughly dislike them....i'd love to have a true Colorado type rilvary with them, but these thing either develop over a long period, or with a single incident. Neither of which have happened as yet. I just don't consider them a rival, a contender yes, but not a rival. Predators fans like to think of it as a rilvary because they have no one in their geological location, i believe the closest city is St Louis, or maybe Atlanta. They don't even play Atlanta this season, and St Louis have either been too good for them, or too bad...hence the lack of rilvary. So their only look at a rival has been a team that they've aspired to beat since their inception. They'res absolutely nothing wrong with this, through i'd much rather play Toronto, Buffalo, Colorado, Chicago etc. I don't think you can expect us to forget almost 80 years of tradition, bitterness and titanic struggle and accept a divisional rival against a "new" team that is only a few years old. Now i'd love to have a 5 season fitgh with Nashville the way that we did with Colorado, but with the way the league is with the lack of fighting and the movement of players, rentals etc i just don't see this being more than a divisional matchup, unless they'res a major sparkplug in the playoffs

i certainly don't consider the Preds a rival yet.. to me they're just another team who likes to think they're as good as us. Good old Bettman and his manufactured rilvaries. If we meet in the playoffs and have a good even series, then i may be tempted to call it a rilvary, not yet though. i guess that Predsnation website is a good example of the Preds...good for a while but fails in the end. I can't read the article atm because the website is down

i know that.. what i mean is that if Floppa hadn't puched Larionov when he was down that fight would never have happend, and Mac might have not had an oppourtunity to kick the s*** out of Lemieux... that particular fight, Mac vs the turtle and Vernon vs Roy was started when Floppa punched Larionov so maybe Floppa is the real enemy

i do actually have a theory about the wings cup wins... it wasn't "the wings win a cup when a Detroit goalie fights Patrick Roy".. it's "the wings win a cup when the Detroit goalie fights Peter Forsberg's team's goalie".. therefore...5 games left...all we need is to get someone to start a barney and get Hasek to fight Vokoun or Mason and the cups ours... i still haven't forgotten that Forsbery started all this crap by going after Larionov back in '97, got the s*** kicked out of him and didn't come back for the rest of the game what i'm basically saying is that this race could really spur us on...we haven't had a tight division in a long time

i think he's on about 2.5, so we'd have to take about 800k of that.. i think he's signed for next year though as well, so that may create issues... i'm not saying it's going to happen and i'm not saying it's necessarily a great idea... but i always loved him as a wing, and i think he could do a job for us

i'd take Lapointe back in a heartbeat.. he's had some pretty bad linemates since he left tbh...i think he'd work on our 2nd line, or our checking line

shame players can't play with a double bended stick for good backhands and forehands... i guess thats the sacrifice they have to make though

power ranking always seem to be wrong... when were bad we seem to be high, when were good we seem to be lower.. i'd put us at #3 atm...which i think is what cbs sportline has us at.. i guess they'res some weird algorithm that they use...but it's obviously not great

it's a pretty cool stick.. do any other players in the league play with that? most seem to have at least some curve on them

Williams has a monster of a shot.. i just wish he'd get it on target every once in a while.. atm i'd prefer Hudler on the 2nd line, and bring up Ellis

the way i fugure it is that if they're not good enough to knock a 45 year old guy out of the line up, they're not ready yet..

Rilvaries are really only made in the playoffs and i fullu expect which ever one of us is playing San Jose to lose in the 1st round

personally i think we should call is the L W C Line, aka the Womens Toilet Line
