I am not mindless! However, tho I do not know his confidence level, I have no confidence in Dom therefore he should go (course I had lil confidence in him throughout the season). All the CBC talking heads were saying there are going to be changes in OTT - perchance to dream (is that how the saying goes?).....

Red Wings coach Mike Babcock has made one change for tonight's Game 4: Brett Lebda will be in for Andreas Lilja. Babcock also said Darren Helm might be in depending on the health of the forwards. Based on the morning skate it didn't appear anyone was seriously banged up, but guys like Tomas Holmstrom, Mikael Samuelsson and Kris Draper are all coming off recent injuries. While Lilja is a bigger body and a good shot-blocker, Lebda has far more of an offensive upside, and adds speed to boot. No change in goal, for those who wondered if Chris Osgood might replace Dominik Hasek. Freep

Hey-zeus what is it with all this shot blocking love? Kinda scary that the main asset mentioned in here is that Pylon is good at getting horizontal (tho having a good, stable, less prone to softies, younger, OsGod goalie would be nice, but I guess that's another thread eh?). The boy can fly - is that what we need tonite? Well, IMHO we need someone who can get the damn puck outta the corners in our zone for starters. And then make one, just one pass outta the zone (just for tonite OK? Just to see if we can really do it). Pylon has not shown the tendency to execute either with much success. So let's see what Lebda can do - can't be any worse. Really. As always, your mileage may vary.....

I've always thought more of Lebda than others. Obviously he has speed, and I think he has a pretty decent shot that could easily replace Sammy on the point on the 2nd line PP. He wants for size ala Pylon, but I always thought he paired well with Kromwell. They're both still developing but if they can control the puck (more so than not at times), they coulda made a nice tandem. But it looks like the coach has other ideas.....

Not really - for one night, he was correct.

I think he had like 3 hits - I just didn't hear his name much other than the incidents with Mac and other than the goal he didn't seem like much of a factor for one game so yeah, in my mind he was neutralized for the most part.

Why would you chant for a fight? Mac did pretty much neutralize him w/o fighting! There's a skill that's rarely seen in hockey. If you just want to watch a fight why not turn to UFC or summin?

Whenever a see a really bad marketing ad, I always ask 'what was their second choice?' I complied this list from just hitting the homepage of each team through the illustrious NHL portal - you know that one that makes every team use their crappy NHL template (didn't the Rangers and MSG sue them to get out of their web bondage?): ANH - 'Lets Go Ducks' (I guess - couldn't find anything else). BOS - 'Gotta B here' (and strangely, not the lamest). CGY - 'C of Red' (c above). COL - 'Play On' (until its tee time). DAL - 'Believe' (possibly lamest). MIN - 'Fight To The End' (probably the most apropos) MON- '16 for 25 - All for One' (16 games for 25th cup - kinda like that). NSH - I have no idea and this shoulda been easy - if I cant find it in 4 clicks or less, f'em. NJD - 'Rock Your Red' (so glad we didn't pick a colour this year). NYR - 'I Am a Ranger' (all I can think of is the choreography when the Power Rangers morph). OTT - 'One Mission' (and surprisingly, it still sux in French). PHI - 'Vengeance Now' (ha, this would be a great slogan if they meet us in the finals - bring ur brooms again). PIT - Again, not a clue. SJS - Unless it's 'This is Sharks Playoff Territory', dunno. WAS - 'Rock the Red' (can we send them Kidd Rock for a bag of pucks? And I guess the league blew off the conf call with NJD).

I specifically used the term redesigned as I really dont see much improvement. TSNs layout has changed a tad, tho I dont think the move to bigger mugs of McKenzie and Dragger are improvements NHL on the other hand looks like it may have been done by the same people that did the feds IRS 'upgrade' which was a loss of $72M or summin. 'Hey, who back there in the last row of cubicles knows Flash?.' 'Um, we have some video back there laying around next to the printers huh? Well, let's just throw it out there and they will come. Who cares if it just sux bandwidth and takes forever to load - everybody else is doing it - we're just late to the party as always.' And I have a 10Mbs pipe and it still sux!
