Great can't wait to see how bad this PP looks.

The point is to eliminate three point games and to make a skills competition not mean so much.

I just came up with an idea that might or might not work. What if you gave two points for a regulation or OT win. If it goes to a shootout the winner gets one point and the loser gets nothing. If you lose in regulation, OT or the SO you get nothing. This would eliminate all these 3 point games that make the standings look silly and it would cause teams to try harder to win the games in reguler time rather than sit back and try to get lucky in a SO. I myself don't like shootouts deciding games, but I don't like ties either. This might be as good as it gets.

I missed this, I'm not surprised they have a beef. They both talk a lot of smack, but Cherry I have some respect for, even if he is an old f**K. Burke on the other hand, i'm not a big fan probably because of that Ducks team he built. I personally think Burke's method of building teams doesn't work in today's NHL, which is why he's failing in Toronto.

To say their season is over if they don't win the division is absurd! If they finish 4th rather than first or second it makes it harder, but far from over.

I can't see the Leafs making the playoffs this year, they turn the puck over to much and they're goaltending is shaky at best right now. Even if they do manage to turn it around, the playoffs are all about goaltending and they don't have it.

Ok so they didn't add anything, Gaustad for a first rounder is to much, but why get rid of depth on D for nothing?

David is a good player, but i don't see why the avs would trade one of their better scorers when their in the middle of a playoff race.

I looked through the teams that are out of the playoff race and this is the guy that I like the most that makes sense for the Wings. He plays a gritty game and he puts some numbers as well. He's the kind of guy I would want around for the playoff battles. The question is would the price be to high?

i'd say he gets this because he's doesn't play dirty, not because he's soft.

I would insert Jones over Emmerton, Eaves and Mursak any day of the week. He puts up more points and adds more grit.

That scares me, just thinking about it.
