Is it just me or was that hit Phaneuf threw on Kopecky worthy of a suspension? He caught the kid off balance and in a vulnerable position and rammed him head first into the boards. Major cheap shot and i have to wonder why nothing was done to Phaneuf later by the rest of the Wings. McCarty would of got in there and made Phaneuf answer the bell. Which is exactly why we need him up here pronto.

Krog had 18 points in 13 games in November and then followed that up with 23 points in 12 games in December. So far in January he has 9 points in 4 games, that's 50 points in his last 29 games. Pretty impressive even if it is the AHL, I don't think the Chicago Wolves are affiliated with any NHL club so he's probably a free agent as far as the NHL goes. This team is playing really well right now but having this much success all season is unlikely because of our stronger division.

Your right Tootoo is an *******, but guess what that's his job. I saw nothing wrong with what he did there. I have always liked Tootoo though with his play at the World Junior tounament for Canada so perhaps my opinion is a little biased. He has done some dumb things in the past, but this isn't one of them.

There's a reason Hasek is the starter, GAA isn't even close with Hasek at 2.04 and Ozzy at 2.57. That's a 71.96 goals against let in by Ozzie in a 28 game playoff schedule and 57.12 goals against Hasek in those same 28 games. Big difference there, Hasek goes down and we're done.

I'd take Lapointe back if the price was right. How about Kopecky, Joey Mac and a bag of pucks, better not be any 1st and 2nd round picks in there though.

I'll have to keep an eye on him when Regina comes to Kelowna this season.

Kid seems to improve in stats every season while also moving to tougher leagues. His stats at the WJ's is also very impressive.
