I can't say I would blame them, if they tried to keep one of the best players in the world in their league. I'm very interested to see how this unfolds.

When the season is on it's great. TSN and sportsnet only show a few highlights of the games not involving Canadian teams, while the NHL Network shows most of the good scoring chances and some fights and hits you don't see on the other networks.

Ya that's true a lot of good players can't relate to less skilled players and have a hard time figuring out how to coach them.

Ya that makes sense I suppose, I was just hoping we'd get to see a couple of games on Tv this week before the season starts, but oh well.

Has anyone heard if we will be getting any warm up games, other than the game vs Grand Rapids?

He's old and washed up, but i'd still rather him then Emmerton like many others have said. I doubt he makes the team, however.

I totally agree, to not see the Leafs, Bruins, Rangers and Pens is a shame.

Ya i get that, it's certainly not somewhere I would want to travel to. The cost of living there is supposed to be really bad. Have you lived there before?

He's not going on all the road trips, so it looks like a part time gig. Certainly wont hurt having him to mentor some of the young players they have.

I'd rather them over the Pens, that's for sure. I've always liked Rick Nash, I wouldn't mind seeing him win the Cup.

Ya there's no doubt he knows his stuff, what annoys people I think is that he goes over the top to often.

Ya it was totally more about the D than him, that's why he won the Con Smythe. The fact is Howard numbers have been better during the season, than the playoffs, somthing that needs to change soon.

I would certainly put the NYR over Pittsburgh. I think the Pens, solved any problems they might have in goal with picking up Vokoun, but they're still pretty thin on the blueline. The Rangers have solid depth at all positions.

I think the full schedule will be released tommorow, after the players ratify the CBA. St.Louis will be an interesting first game, it will show if we're going to have the jump we need to start the season.

I just think with how little top end talent the Ducks have now, that they will do whatever it takes to resign these guys. I expect that they both will rebound from lousy seasons and try and get us much dough as possible. As far as Ryan goes, I don't know who we could offer that would make sense for both teams. I feel that acquiring a top end dmen is far more important for us right now.

I've kept an eye on how Mrazek has been doing this year in Grand Rapids. He had an amazing start, but has been a bit hit and miss since than. I think he's a year or two away from being ready for the NHL. That being said Jimmy has been great for us when it doesn't matter so much and lousy in the playoffs. I would give him one more chance to redeem himself in the postseason. If he fails again, then I would consider trading him. I don't know if we could get a top notch player for him straight up, I think it might cost us more than just him to make the deal work.

I don't see Perry or Getzlaf coming here, I would be happy with Hartnell and/or Edler.

I'm a little surprised he didn't get until the end of the season to see if the Leafs would make the playoffs this year. If they were gonna let him go why not do it in June or earlier?

He's 26 and still hasn't reached his full potential yet. He needs to improve in his own end for sure, but that is certainly not something that can't be done.

I know it wont happen, but I'd like to see Tatar on the team this year. He's had plenty of seasoning in the AHL and has numbers very similar to Nyquist. Franzen Datsyuk Nyquist Zetterberg Filppula Brunner Tatar Helm Samuelsson Bertuzzi Abdelkader Tootoo I would trade or cut Emmerton and use Miller as the 13th forward. Mursak i'm not sure about, i love his speed, but he's small and doesn't have a lot of skill. I have no idea how long Eaves will be on IR for with the concussion, but i think he might be usefull as a fill in when he recovers White Kronwall Quincey Ericsson Colaiacovo Smith Kindl I really hope they make a move at some point on D, cus this scares me a bit.

Ya I think it is possible and with the amount of money the Canucks already have tied up on their D, i think he just might go to free agency. The swedish connection might also help us out in this case.

I know, I feel like many others that they should pay for putting us through all this crap again, but I've missed it so much, there's just no way I could boycott.

This is how I would do it: 1 game vs all the teams in the opposite conference(15). 2 games vs nondivisional conference opponents(20). 3 games vs divisional opponents(12). That gives you 47 games, so you could add one game vs a divisional opponent or maybe play a team like Toronto twice. When i seen we would only play teams in our conference, I threw up a bit in my mouth. I love seeing the Wings play Toronto, Philly, Boston, NYR, Pittsburgh and Washington. We hardly play them at all as it is, to go through the season without playing them at all would be a shame.
