Brett Lebda you worthless garbage! What the hell was that, a slap shot at the ankle pass? -

Wow, Stuart! Way to literally do nothing. Don't front Tkachuk or anything-- your contract is already guaranteed! -

It has nearly been 30 real-time minutes since The Pylon has made a horrible play. The people of Buffalo Grove must be thrilled. -

I have changed my avatar to reflect the #1 cause of these two (potential) losses. How the hell is Brett Lebda (from now on, The Pylon) an NHL player? The 3rd Blues goal is a failed clear by him. The 4th is him half-assing it and not getting to the puck before Berglund. I know that LGW is always looking for a whipping boy, The Pylon is certainly campaigning for it. The Pylon is lazy and he sucks. -
Impressions of the game-- Osgood was mediocre. Horrid rebound control. Brett Lebda thinks he is Paul Coffey. I counted at least three times where he rushed it, turned it over, and it resulted in an odd man break. Brett Lebda sucks. Filppula seemed to get some liberties taken on him. I think that he and Leino may need a bigger body to play alongside them to stop this from happening.

There are 7 people at this game.

I'm not denying your point. I'm just saying, we aren't stacked with guys that can defend themselves.
-
Eh, an enforcer wouldn't stop that. This team is built to take stuff; we really don't have a bruiser mentality.
-
Chris Kunitz is a bottom.
-
That's because they didn't. Don't you follow NHL commercials where a moronic Penguins fan blocks his view of the tv by building a pseudo-rink? The Penguins won the Cup that year too, 2 games to 0. Besides, the NHL's only been around since June of 2005 when the inverse Caster Semenya was drafted (kudos to anyone who latches onto that reference). Nothing else really matters.

I know Eaves had concussion problems-- is this Boyd part II referring to avoiding contact? I'd much rather have Abdelkader up.
-
I'm not impressed with Patrick Eaves.

I don't get why people get sad when Brad McCrimmon gets ripped. His job is to coach the defense. When the defense makes the same stupid mistake, over and over again-- what is he getting paid for? If it is just to fill a job, fine, but if he is actually (God forbid) called out on his guys not improving---? Isn't that the point of a specialty coach, such as him? I mean, if our guys keep slipping because their skates aren't sharpened, are we supposed to give Paul Boyer a free pass? (Not that it has happened, but this is an example--of course most sane people would blame the guy who is responsible for that area of the team)
-
Our defense needs work, even considering this is a B team iced today. Can we bring Chelios back?
-
This is the first Wings-Pens game I've seen without Crosby being a *****. (And yes, I know he's out, hence the joke)
-
Good to see that Brad McCrimmon really got things turned around for the defence this year.
-
Great one by Ken on the Orpik interference call. "It's not Hal Gill, but it is a Penguin" Even a professional knew what bulls*** it was that Gill got away with that Finals stuff.
-
How the hell is Dan O Halloran still a ref? Awarding a penalty shot on a breakaway where Staal got the shot off-- unbelievable. If I was a player, I would accidentally hit him with a clearing slapper.
-
But Derek Meech can suck at forward AND defense! What a garbage player. What exactly was he doing? Guarding that open patch of ice?
-
If Crosby isn't playing, are we sure the NHL won't just cancel the game?

Paid today, Matt. BeepBeepRibbeyRibbey

Hey guys, I know that there was all the flap about Directv dropping Versus. Is Dish Network a good option for hockey viewers? I've seen several packages that include Versus; I've also read that the Centre Ice package purchase gets you the NHL Network. Thoughts? Subscriber reviews?
-
I generally agree, GMR. I am pissed at Directv because I know how they'll spin this: We negotiated and got Versus back---aren't we great? You only missed a few games, and we (as a company) were not gouged on price. By the way, consumer, you now must pay $15 per month to get Versus-- totally unrelated to our stipulation that Comcast tried to gouge us. If you want hockey on our network, you have to do it. When I first signed up for Directv, it was because it offered Centre Ice and Setanta Sports. Now, Dish has Setanta as well (previously, not). Hooray for hockey and rugby.
