Heh..81 games later, Babcock is still tinkering with the lines (not his fault, can't do much when people are in and out of the lineup all the time). Kinda bothers me...the players haven't really been able to develop any chemistry.

I don't think it's the lines. Maybe they should just try dumping the puck in (exactly what LA did) instead of trying to stickhandle and turning it over at the blue line.

Hopefully late March will get them going. Pens, Caps, Canucks, Hawks...all at home.

They really screwed themselves by signing Hossa. As good as the guy is, I'd rather keep 5 good depth players than sign another superstar.

Seriously, I find this subject hilarious. How can anybody view this season as an indication of Osgood's ability? Yes, he struggled in the beginning, but he also had some really good games. Now, he's barely playing one game per month. You can't put a 37 year old goaltender in after basically sitting on the bench since January and expect him to play well right away. If anything, we should be discussing whether Babcock should get fired for the way he handled the goaltending situation. Give Osgood 3-4 starts...then we can start judging his play. Howard sucked too when the season started. His play didn't pick up until he started playing every game.

So I was just looking at the Olympics schedule, and noticed that the gold medal game is on Feb. 28. The NHL starts up again the next day, on March 1, but there's only one game. Guess who's playing :-P It's on the road, too. Hmm...

Makes me wonder how many other Wings players have nagging injuries that require surgery that we just haven't heard about. I bet Datsyuk and Zetterberg have something wrong with them too..
