Why does Babcock insist on putting Meech on the power play instead of Stuart? Stuart (in my opinion) has a great shot, and would do much better. I know Kronwall would be there if he wasn't injured, but I'd say Stuart is a way better replacement...

I don't think it has anything to do with a lack of shooters. Our Stanley Cup team didn't have any shooters either. I think the problem is that we're never quick enough to get to loose pucks, always a step behind. It looks like they're coasting all the time, and there's no sense of urgency in their game.

So did anyone rewind to look at the two hooking penalties to Helm? Ridiculous..especially the 2nd one. The goal that made it 4-3 can only be blamed on the refs.

I don't know how they determine if a game is sold out, because Ticketmaster still had tickets for the game (scattered) on Saturday.

This game is a joke. Wings come out with energy and the refs take it away with 3 bulls*** penalties.

Datsyuk isn't scoring. Zetterberg isn't scoring. Lidstrom and Rafalski aren't scoring. Williams, Franzen and Filppula have been injured. Now Holmstrom is gone. We have enough talent to score a lot more. Getting a goal-scorer through trade isn't going to help us. We need it to come from within - from players that we know are capable of scoring more and haven't done so this season. If the players we have can't pick it up, then we won't go far in the playoffs anyway, even if we do get someone like Kovalchuk.

It always pisses me off when people say this.. The first goal was more of an accident. The second goal was Hudler's fault, he should've gone back to cover for Stuart. Instead, he went to where Stuart was.

I'm not too worried about the offensive production, I think it'll come back (to some extent). But, in my opinion, his defensive play has gotten worse. I've seen him make quite a few more mistakes this season than in the past.

I just went to the Sharks game with the student rush tickets. They were $68 seats (for $15), row 6 in the upper bowl, not too far from center ice. It was awesome :-P

If a player retires before his contract runs out, does his salary (the average cap hit) still count against the cap, or does it come off the payroll completely? So, for example, if Zetterberg retires with 2 years left on his contract, is the $6 million average salary still counted against the cap for those 2 years even though we're not paying him?

I picked up some "obstructed view" tickets for Game 2 - 217B, row 26 (they were cheap :-P) How "obstructed" is the view? And would I be able to move down to some unoccupied seats? I've heard of ushers sometimes letting people do this...and I definitely saw some empty seats at tonight's game
